TheChris92
Apparently, FarCry 4 review copies do not include a PC version. http://www.pcgamer.com/why-our-far-cry-4-review-is-delayed/ I expect serious optimization issues like ACU. Considering that they made the statement that "FarCry 4 will run the same on PC and consoles on Ultra", yes I believe that's to be expected. At the very least we can hold hope since Farcry doesn't have a crowd generator. Ubisoft is really trying hard to be the worst company of this year, guess that's why Jade jumped ship. Thought you meant the character called "Jade" for a second there, which I suppose works just as well, actually.

Malcador
http://www.pcgamer.com/elite-dangerous-will-no-longer-support-an-offline-mode/ Elite: Dangerous finally launches on December 16, but it won't release with an offline mode. While the functionality was promised during the space sim's initial crowdfunding campaign, David Braben writes in a new development blog that it's not practical due to the studio's efforts to keep the universe consistent for all players. Backers must be a bit annoyed. Why has elegance found so little following? Humanoid
I hope that's not code for "we're launching with no viable solo content". By that I mean an offline mode sort of implies the presence of a mission structure, a campaign of sorts. With a fully online system, you can get away with just creating the world and allowing emergent gameplay - UO was kind of like that, though the model of contemporary MMOs is mission-based. I haven't read any of the dev updates since backing the game so no idea if this has been covered. This sucks, I was really looking forward to playing that game, I've been dying for something like it for ages. Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. LadyCrimson
Please let this trailer (or game) not be complete BS Please let this game come to the west Diablo WHO? It certainly looks cool. What's the pedigree of the team behind this? Sounds like it could be a f2p mmo type. The company is a South Korean studio named SmileGate, who made a popular "tactical online fps" game called Crossfire. The below article is making the f2p guesses based on the previous game. ...so dunno. But the video certainly makes it seem potentially interesting for the arpg crowd. http://www.overclockersclub.com/news/37646/ “Things are as they are. Technically singleplayer is still in.It's just forced online. But this make Elite look more and more like a glorified tech-demo. Technically there is no single player, but mode where you don't come contact with other players, but economy, discovery etc. things are impacted by actions of other players even in that so called single player mode. Which means that player's that play this so called single player mode can find them hard pressed to find well profitable missions in starting systems and unexplored systems near starting systems are most likely stripped bare from all the valuable resources, which will make advancing in the game quite time consuming for new players. (Still have my original Elite for the BBC model B to keep me warm at night) Yeah, I read a bit of Elite forums and the number of people attacking those who are voicing their disappointment is depressingly large. Its like they're personally offended that someone might not like being screwed out of a feature they bought the game for in the first place. If money had not changed hands I'd have said meh, but they took the cash, promised something and are now weaseling out of it a month before release. And they timed so they hope the proximity of release (hype and waiting) will pressure those who might ask for a refund into just going along with the flow. Its quite certain they knew there'd be no offline mode for quite a while. Apart from that, not a small number of people (beta players) are saying that the game is nowhere near complete enough for release. They claim there is zero story and flavor content, that the universe is very generic and lacking in variation, among other things. Drowsy Emperor
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDCd_19ZRII Probably the best part of the game too. The GTA series has become somewhat burdened with all the things you "can do" instead of sticking with the things that are fun to do. Endrosz
An impressive gameplay demo for a forthcoming Mordheim adaptation. I must say that Mordheim is one of the better games of Games Workshop, and the adaptation also includes some nice improvements. I really dig what they did with movement, evolving the new X-Com's already slick system further. It's still a purely turn-based game, but it looks and almost plays like a third-person action game. Well done, looking forward to playing the finished version, but nooooo, I'm not buying into Early Access, not even for this. Drowsy Emperor
I'm watching Pillars of Eternity Backer beta first look on youtube (old news, but I haven't been following development closely) and I love the parchment with black ink text boxes. I also love the way they're trying to get around rest-heal spam, making resting more strategic and less rote. I think they're really going to make something good here.
