I don't know about the rest of you, but when I read it. I hear the original voice from baldur's gate saying it. Its actually kind of annoying NOT hearing it.

They should just let you venture forth without gathering your party, surely they can teleport everyone out the door regardless of if they're standing there

Honestly it's just nice that the game pays homage to that iconic line.

In BG2 I've heard it enough for PoE 1,2 and 3. I'm happy for not hearing it.

Guess its just me then. I can't help but not hear if when I read it. Guess that'll just have to be enough

Exactly, PST did this and it was wonderful. Its probably a bug, but having to micromanage all my characters to stand on top of each other so I can rest is also frustrating.

Would that my BB guys didn't get stuck with no apparent way to unstick them. Save often!

Haha I get flash backs but it was one of the most frustraiting things of BG ^^ 

Well, stuck or unstuck, just remember to gather your party before venturing forth...

I never could understand why people find it so annoying. You must be playing it "wrong" or something to set off the "You must gather your party" clip. I always walk my guys to the edge of the map, then click on the area transition, so I almost never hear it. I think I've heard it three times during my current BG1 playthrough.

 

Are you guys just clicking on the area transition from halfway across the map or something?

Yeah that guy's voice is unforgettable. Like a disembodied observer with deep concern and authority for my party's welfare. 

It's as iconic as "This is CNN."

The Icewind Dale games are the IE games I'm the most familiar with and that line is never said out loud in those games. To be honest, I thought it was really strange to hear it spoken when I first played Baldur's Gate.

If this actually did manage to get in there I'd be so happy, but ohhh the hate mail I'd get haha.

actually the first time I triggered the text I thought the lack of audio was a bug. would love to have the old audio or a new version of it in PoE.

OH I know! when you try to leave a area without all your party each character that is not close enough gets a VO customer to that character.

"hey don't leave me!"

"Slow down long legs" (dwarf character)

Etc. Etc.

Heh, and here I thought that this sentence was copywrited or somethin'

^Hmmm, best alter it subtly to avoid litigation - "You need to collect your entourage afore wandering hence"

"Wrangle your dirt bags first, sucker!"
