Majek
And next week, i have to go in internext exile to stay away from Muricans and their spoilers for Dark Souls 2 until the damn friday. ;_; Guess i'll also play regional mode for a the first month, to avoid getting invaded by people with 2 days more experience. 1.13 killed off Ja2. Wrath of Dagon
GhostofAnakin, on 03 Mar 2014 - 5:44 PM, said: Finished Dishonored. That was a rather short main story. The "twist" was also pretty obvious early on. It wasn't really a case of being surprised it happened, but wondering at what point in the story it would happen. Overall, decent game. But it felt almost more like an expansion pack than a full length game. I'm curious, why do you think it was obvious? "Moral indignation is a standard strategy for endowing the idiot with dignity." Humanoid
Well one clue is how early the game would have finished if not for the twist. On the plot direction alone though, I think it was a case of being not really being a twist as such, but just one of two natural paths for the fairly story to take, either way wouldn't shock anyone, there was no real misdirection. A contrast would be DXHR's twist in that there was no twist. The thing that people expected to happen didn't happen, and I was glad for it. teknoman2
a few days ago i finally finished Icewind Dale 2... and i was a bit disapointed by the final battle last week i played Ys and yesterday i finished Ys2. fun game with great OST. now i think i ll look for the rest of the games in the series. now i should get to finishing dark souls that i left at the 4 kings boss fight The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder. -Teknoman2- What? Malcador
A contrast would be DXHR's twist in that there was no twist. The thing that people expected to happen didn't happen, and I was glad for it. The twist there was the lack of an ambush during that long, slow, elevator ride down that big hole. Why has elegance found so little following? Noviere
Just finished playing through Episode 2 of The Walking Dead Season 2. I liked it a lot more the Episode 1, though there were times that I struggled with the plausibility of Clem being an 11 year old. I guess you grow up fast in a zombie apocalypse, but still... Adults are asking her to make decisions on life and death matters. That's not to say I don't like her as a protagonist -- it's quite the opposite. It's just one of those things that nags at me while I'm playing it. Edited March 5, 2014 by Noviere

Serrano
I think it's the better design choice, if everyone treated the player as they should an 11 year old then how much fun would that be? Edited March 5, 2014 by Serrano

Noviere
I haven't played E2 yet but I can imagine what you are saying and I would also find that unrealistic. I almost had to suspend my disbelief so that it didn't ruin the authenticity of the story. Which I was able to do, thankfully. I just had to convince myself that having gone through what she has, Clem would grow up quickly. And to be fair, she does a good job of proving her competency to the group in Episode 1. I think it's the better design choice, if everyone treated the player as they should an 11 year old then how much fun would that be? Oh totally. When it was first rumored that Clem was the protagonist of Season 2, I was a little worried that her age would really limit her interactions with other characters and the world, and that the game would suffer for it. This isn't the case at all, thankfully.

mkreku
It's the joys of the North American Tuesday release vs the European Friday release... I know about the 'normal' delay (which is probably the biggest reason people pirate things). But it was listed as being released on March 6 yesterday and today it is listed as an undefined March? ManifestedISO
Delayed for Austria and Germany, due to "unconstitutional" symbols, but they didn't say anything about the rest of Europe.
