Ywerion Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Now that's some great news for all steampunk fans, Edge of Twilight which was really really promising and astonishingly looking title, that got canceled few years back, got revived. The game gonna be finally finished and most likely be out this year, hoooray! On top of that there is another steampunk ttle in preparations, Ravensdale is the name. It's bitter to know Edge won't be released for PC, as not even MK 9 was, oh well, thanks goodness for YT. old trailer for eye-candy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5SateAymKo "Have you ever spoken with the dead? Called to them from this side? Called them from their silent rest? Do you know what it is that they feel? Pain. That's what it is to be married with children.I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin. Tea for the teapot!

Yeah, wich is 'kind' of good if you want to hide. Ever tried hiding in fog? Does'nt work too well. And if you actually 'can' hide in the fog, you're not going to see anything either. Then again, you're not playing much of a thief any more. Because it sure does'nt seem like it. Having it damn near pitch darkness made it more believable, and it also made it a trade-off to douse the torches that were around. Heh, it's clearly superior to be hiding in that wisp of mist in the slightly shaded part of the room. My comment had literally nothing to do with the fog in the new game. Just how older games didn't recognize silhouettes that would have been present.

entrerix Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 i think its a trend for japanese companies in the past few years to over estimate sales on games. they need to lower expectations and budget accordingly. square needs to make more final fantasy games that attempt to emulate 6-9 instead of pushing for absurdly expensive graphics and full voice acting 1 Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game.
