Demon's Souls New Game Plus. Killied Phalanx, Tower Knight and Old King Doran I wanted to stop play after Phalanx, but it's to addictive, and I've missed Doran encounter in first walkthrough so It was decided what to do

I haven't got anything new to play, but I'm pondering on re-installing Hitman Bloodmoney to see if I can still achieve all those Silent Assassin ratings...

No u3 yet, so still Arkham City. 50% and 100 Riddler trophies to go. I guess i'll be doing challenge maps all weekend to forget about Uncharted while everyone else plays it. ;_;

Playing Arkham Asylum now. And Mass Effect 2 as well. I'm only two years behind the curve now, whee!!

Oh, and still playing New Vegas.

Still playing through Oblivion. I've gotten through more quests than I ever have before and I seem to be enjoying it more this time too. Think I'll be done just in time to start Skyrim at my current pace.

Still NG+ of Demon's Souls, still pretty addictive and hard as hell O.o especially stage 4-2 and the Reapers. Got my 5th weapon trophy

Killed in Demon's Souls my first Black Phantom NPC - Scirvir, and I was able to collect stones for 4 more weapon trophies I just hate Pure Bladestone droprate 111 hours played so far O.o

Thinking of replaying Pool of Radiance. The mac version (since essentially the three first installments of the quadrilogy had improved graphics and/or audio on mac), to not make it dosbox easy to myself. Need to call my dad to figure out where the SE/30 is, in case I need to get that ROM image somewhere...

It's not that bad. In Dark souls drop rates are/were worse pre- 1.04 patch Some still are. Pure bladestone is easy compared to those. Besides on PBWT and with a powerful enough weapon to take out that black skelie fast you can get it in 1 hour.

After saving Yuria and learning Soulsucker, I got it in 3 runs from Old Hero Archstone to Black Phantom black skeleton, it made the farming very fast So one more weapon trophy in the house

Most games these days seem to be pretty but not much else. And way too many scripted scenes in so many of them now, where I feel like I'm just watching vs. playing.

I'm playing the "figure out which components to buy for the building of a new PC" game. Hopefully, the next few weeks will produce some Black-Friday-type sales. (I'm guessing that there won't be much on wonky stuff like PSUs, but it could produce nice savings on a new monitor, for example.)

 

Also, Throne of Bhaal.

 

After that, assuming everything goes well, it's figuring out which games to buy out of the new stuff and all the games I haven't bought over the last 9 months or so. Tentative plan is to buy something uber-current like Skyrim or Arkham City to test the machine and keep me busy, then wait and see if titles like Shogun 2, Deus Ex, Witcher 2, or DS3 turn up for cheap in post-holiday sales.

im thinking about doing some major upgrades to my pc, my power supply, case, and ram seem to be ok, but i think i need a new motherboard, processor, and gfx card. and i want to get an ssd too. will be watching newegg closely over the next few months

I won't upgrade until the next console generation. And even then, it's doubtful those new toasters will have better hardware than my current machine.

All these new CPU chips but my i7-920 still far exceeds what games need. Think I'm good for a few more years at least, if not more. Sometimes I'm not unhappy consoles have slowed things down re: needing to upgrade pc's for gaming. Easier on the pocketbook.

Yeah, I like this technology plateau we're on at the moment, most stuff runs well and looks good, games also appear to be benefiting from extra time spent on design rather than tech but maybe it's just been a good year for games.

Ah what the heck, Steam has Rage for sale for $40...20 bucks off, I'm game. I'll gift a 2nd copy to hubby too and maybe we can play it together.
