Morgoth Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 About that 007 game...? Rain makes everything better.
Calax Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 from what I heard, Quantum of Solace was an average game. there are better ones out there (obviously) Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Purkake Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) FORGET IT! But they digitalized Joss Stone just for that Edited October 18, 2010 by Purkake
GreasyDogMeat Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 from what I heard, Quantum of Solace was an average game. there are better ones out there (obviously) I liked it myself. It was esentially Call of Duty: 007.
Calax Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Squeenix kinda failed at market research for FFXIII. From the sound of it, they didn't even care about the global market until somebody from the dev team slapped the producers over their heads. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Labadal Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 ^Add that the team aditted they had big problems during development and we get a clue to why the game ended up like it did. I still have hopes for FF Agito XIII and FF Versus XIII.
Tale Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 C&C could use another good shooter after Renegade. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Morgoth Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Except Renegade wasn't good. Rain makes everything better.
Tale Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 You hate everything. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Monte Carlo Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 from what I heard, Quantum of Solace was an average game. there are better ones out there (obviously) I played QoS at a friend's house. Indeed, it was so-so although I'm not exactly an expert at shooters.
Purkake Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) Steam surpasses 30 million active account mark* *Active account is an account that has been online in the last 30 days and owns at least one game according to Steam's forums. Also: In addition to new user growth, Steam sales during the trailing 12 months increased by more than 200%, putting it on track for a sixth straight year of realizing over 100% year-over-year growth in unit sales. To meet this demand, the Steam infrastructure has been increased and now has ability to run at 400Gps, enough bandwidth to ship a digitized version of the Oxford English Dictionary 92.6 times per second. Gfted1 Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 How does that change anything? "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Calax Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 How does that change anything? I consider "pc gaming" to be games that are made exclusively for PC first, and not made either in tandem or ported to the pc's from consoles. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Morgoth Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 You hate everything. Nah. I just have my standards when it comes to engine optimizations and overall quality. Renegade ran like a Turd on a high-end PC when it was released. That's unforgiving. Rain makes everything better.
Purkake Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 That's like judging a book by it's print quality, Renegade was fun.
Morgoth Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 That's like judging a book by it's print quality, Renegade was fun. Whatever floats your boat. To me at least it was very apparent that Westwood had no clue in action games, and it showed. Rain makes everything better.
RPGmasterBoo Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Renegade was mediocre. Imperium Thought for the Day: Even a man who has nothing can still offer his life

If that's your metric you could probably make arguments that "XBOX Gaming" or "PS3 Gaming" is dying too.

Crate 4.0 - we shall just have to wait and see.Down and out on the Solomani RimNow the Spinward Marches don't look so GRIM!
Calax Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) Eh, console gaming is games that have been designed to suit the console controller/specs. CoD2 and several of the first person shooters count, along with half the ports you currently see on steam. Also, Apparently Zynga (of farmville fame) has basically been selling your Facebook information http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142405...l?mod=yhoofront Edited October 18, 2010 by Calax Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition!
