Maria Caliban Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Fary Cry 2 - respawns, respawns, respawns. I wish you could take more than one job at a time. I just finished a buddy mission to sneak into a fort and steal documents, and now I have to sneak into that same fort and assassinate someone. "When is this out. Monte Carlo Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Storm of Zehir, trying to figure out the right party. There's too much choice. I think I might be radical and go for Fighter, Mage, Cleric & Thief. A concept so radical it might actually rip a hole in the space / time continuum. Cheers MC

Monte Carlo Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 ^ I know, I took one look at one of those power-gaming character-building websites and got a nosebleed. Not that I dislike powergaming, it's just that I much prefer lazy powergaming. This is why Sawyer's core class hardcore approach has my approval. I'm currently going with a Human Ranger / Rogue (no PrC planned), an Aasimar single-class Cleric (PrC Warpriest), an Elf Ftr / Wiz (PrC Arcane Archer) and a Dwarf Ftr / Bbn (no PrC). For some reason it just isn't working for me. I'm tempted to make four Gray Orc barbarians and simply smash my way through the thing instead. Cheers MC

Kelverin Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 It looks interesting Only 2 days since release; already a new up to date roster, an edit for the strike zone (I prefer mine off) and some one already modded Wrigley Field. It will be a new game in a few weeks since it's pretty broken out the of box and 2K has stated no patch for the PC. J1 Visa Southern California Cleaning
tripleRRR Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Currently going through the single player campaign for Dawn of War 2. It's awesome. Using a gamepad to control an FPS is like trying to fight evil through maple syrup.
Deraldin Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I'm bouncing back and forth between a number of things. I still get the occasional game of L4D going, I'm on Chapter 21 in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and my copy of F.E.A.R. (1, not Project Origin) arrived the other day. Also, for some reason, I bought a British version of F.E.A.R. It has the BBFC ratings on it. For $10 I'm not complaining, but cheap little DVD case? It looks pretty pathetic in my game collection wedged in between Crysis (Limited Edition shininess!) and NOLF2. It kinda blends into the background.
LadyCrimson Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Still Mount & Blade, w/no gameplay mods yet, except one to increase the allowed battle sizes to 160. I've become pretty good at couched lance damage/insta kills on a horse (not much trick to that...) but I still suck at melee horse combat. Can never get the pass/swing timing right. Plus, after the initial charge your army of 50+ ends up in a giant clumped brawl that you're better off just watching, anyway. The dashes up the siege ladders are insane (get locked in, no maneuver escape) and you should not attempt to go up the ladder yourself until near the end. Swadian Knights are awesome, but next time I'll try a weaker faction. “Things are as they are. taks Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 i'm down to the last few quests in M&M6, but these apparently take the longest. it's almost painful, but i started, and i absolutely MUST finish (i'm not sure i actually finished the first time i played it, TBH). taks comrade taks... just because.
Darth InSidious Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 KotOR II again. Damn, I'd forgotten how awesome this game is. This particularly rapid, unintelligible patter isn't generally heard, and if it is, it doesn't matter.
Maria Caliban Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Art of Murder: Hunt for the Puppeteer. Interesting adventure game - I've only had problems with one puzzle so far and it was because of the camera angle. So far, so good. "When is this out. Enoch Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Played a little World of Goo tonight. I beat it months ago, but it's fun to revisit some of the cleverer puzzles. Plus, I had forgotten how awesome the music was.

Debating whether I should or not. You should IF you have the mods that make you not look like a Nosferatu-reject. I probably will when I get towards the end of the game and be more powerful. Right now I will do a lot of side quests. I heard being a vampire makes it so a lot of people don't talk to you since they recognize what you are. Deadly_Nightshade Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I heard being a vampire makes it so a lot of people don't talk to you since they recognize what you are. If you drink blood you will, paradoxically -and I recommend getting mods to fix this odd system-, look human but be weaker. Yes, Bio's vampires get stronger when they go hungry. "Geez. Mamoulian War Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Darkfall Online!!! Pure Awesomness... not enjoyed such thrill and fear about your character in game for long time... Maria Caliban Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Finished Art of Murder: The Hunt for the Puppeteer It's a B. The graphics are good, the voice acting is decent. The plot is interesting at first, but eventually falls apart and wipes out at the end. For a few hours, I thought it might be a supernatural thriller because the killer was doing things that simply strike me as impossible. From the very beginning, we "When is this out. Ross_Witchen Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Still playing World of Warcraft 5 years so far? hmm We'll, as soon as I can afford to buy a new cimputer that can play that NwN2 game, I'll give that a try. BTW, still remember you Mr. Gygax. Didn't put a candle in window for ya on the 4th..but I did buy another WOW gamecard. Hope you are well.
Gorth Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 Baldurs Gate 2. Just made my way out of the Underdark and started gathering allies. Still need to get the wayward bard from his planar prison and see if I can't kick Kangaxx' butt (not that a floating skull really has one) before heading for Suldanessellar (sp?). I plan to take my party to the end of Throne of Bhaal... it's just that, high level play is SOO horribly boring “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Deadly_Nightshade Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Titan Pack time... Almost... I've got to finish downloading it first. "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Maria Caliban Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Septerra Core. The areas are tiny, the combat is repedative, the story is uninteresting, the graphics are dated, and the role-playing is non-existent. "When is this out. Theseus Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Titan Pack time... Almost... I've got to finish downloading it first. It makes the game better obviously but... It doesn't give it that godly feel that UT2K4 has. You can move so much faster in it, and the lightning gun is such a great hitscan weapon compared to this lame sniper rifle that is in EVERY SINGLE game out there. bah! I'm getting curmudgeon!
