Pop
Yeah, it's unfortunate they made the Samarchan ranger a dual-wield specialist. I used her as a crossbowman throughout the game. Couldn't get her to dual-wield without constant nannying. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
Enoch
Dual-wielding isn't causing me any trouble, but that may be because I leave the AI off and obsessively pause and micromanage everything my characters are doing. It is annoying, though, that clicking a different weapon configuration in a hotbar usually causes the character to put down her current weapon and wade into combat bare-fisted. It usually takes another click to get the proper weapon in her hands. I recall this happening in prior NWN2 incarnations occasionally, but now it seems to happen every single time. Morgoth
"Am I here the first one who admits that SoZ sucks donkey ballz?" You must have me on ignore. L0L Nah. I just haven't noticed. Perhaps "donkey balls" is a bit cold, but the game definitely seems to put a lot of fun stoppers in my way (horrible loading times, repetitve combat, ridicilous Overlandmap encounters). Rain makes everything better.
Kaftan Barlast
Ive been trying to get into it, but Ive failed thus far. GreasyDogMeat
I'd take ragdoll physics any day of the week over 'eye candy'. Heck, the game could just be stick figures in wire frame land and I'd be happy.
Kaftan Barlast
Why arent they using the cutscene system in ZOH? Every dialouge so far has been oldschool NWN style, which is kind of gay. Didnt they want to do lipsyncing or what? Setzer
Can someone please tell me what are the best settings for controlling your party(i.e. camera/controls). Or just tell me which settings you prefer.
Amentep
I just use the somewhat overheadish default camera. But then I tend to just let the party do whatever and concentrate on watching the party leader... I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
Starwars
Why arent they using the cutscene system in ZOH? Every dialouge so far has been oldschool NWN style, which is kind of gay. Didnt they want to do lipsyncing or what? Making it work with the party conversation system would likely be tricky. Plus, many of us prefer the oldschool style, especially for a game which is not really focused on story or long conversations. As for camera, I mainly use the one called Exploration mode with a few tweaks. I control my party most of the time. Im inclined to permanently shelf this, Im definently not enjoying it. Starwars
Huh, it is mp3. Nah, it's a format called .bmu. I copy and rip it to MP3 since there's been reports of the .bmu files screwing up and not playing ingame if you listen to them in a media player (might've only been Windows Media Player though). So the whole game is from the standard camera view? *deep sigh* I really dont like reading dialogue off a tiny box in the upper right corner of the screen. Yep, whole game is like that. samm
IS THE GAME ANY GOODIn my opinion, very much so. Damn addictive. It's no comparison to MotB however: Very thin story, no chatting companions etc. But the whole trading-stuff, exploring, gathering resources, cohorts, trading posts, sightseeing, very challenging fights (if you let the AI buff itself) make it time consuming and, as said, addictive. It's just too cool moving through the jungle, switching for a short and dangerous while to your fighter / crafter who can't hide from monster but detects a bamboo-bush that he then crafts into a 'howling staff' - it's just too much fun to be bad Edited December 7, 2008 by samm Citizen of a country with a racist, hypocritical majority
