The water looks great in Gothic 3, but the hero has lost the ability to dive. Sigh.

Is the Darkest Day where you go into that Flying Fortress thing? I have vague memories of playing that mod.

I remember Darkest Day as being the one in which they found ways to port over every single CNPC from BG1 that didn't make it into BG2. If only it didn't include that big, sloppy brawl in the docks with Artemis Entreri that yielded entirely too many +1 scimitars.

One of my new friends fishing with me. I've met quite a few friendly types in recent days, and it's fun helping folks out when I'm able. I even got mail (!) from an NPC I did a quest for a few days ago. The game has nice little touches that make it come to life. I'm having a blast.

I don't know. It has been many years since I installed it.

I think the flying fortress was in another mod, maybe Ashes of Embers.

DX10 uses geometry shaders, which is basically 3D textures, the low fps I'm getting is cuz of the stupid waterfall

 

 

The wireframe view shows that it's not using many actual polys at all

Okay, I think I know the issue with Deus Ex: IW. Browsing Steam forums, it seems that people playing UT2004, Red Orchestra, and me with Deus Ex: IW, all BSOD on exiting the game while being part of the Steam Community beta. So, the Unreal engine and the Steam Community Beta don't seem to be too friendly. I'll just opt out of the beta while I play!

, but Fraps let me down big time. I'm totally considering uninstalling it and writing a nasty e-mail, I mean, like, who's gonna stand up to these corporate giants who lure you in with their quasi-freeware software just to have it fail on you when you least expect it, if not me, I, the common consumer?)
