I guess I need to re-watch the video because I did not get the same assurances regarding live service elements or MTX or anything.

There are no things such as assurance of user-friendly live service elements in EA game 😄

All I got from that video is that they're working on a game and the feeling a few of the employees were being held at gunpoint.

Reviews for CK3 are all pretty good - IGN gave it 10/10, PCG gave it 94, etc.

Well IGN gave 10/10 also to The Last of Us 2 😄 Might just mean, that’s just right amount of water in CK3 🤣

I am pi$$ed that I cant start download sooner on steam so I can have it pre-installed...

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

Alpha Protocol is the reason why I stopped reading any game reviews. Funny how the game was completely trashed by the american media, while the european media praised it. Sure it had its flaws and lots of issues, but it was still a fun game. Played through it 7+ times back in the release days, because you could do so many things differently and the ending completely changes.

/Edit: And it made me furious when one year later, the same people who excessively trashed the game, suddenly came around and posted articles like "hey.. actually this game isn't so bad after all" ... F* these people, really.

Eh, I think it's fair. Alpha Protocol is much easier to like if you are not actively playing it. I have fond memories of this game, but when I played it for the first time before PoE1 release I quit-raged quite a lot.

Not necessarily the best comparison when you compare your first reaction to that of reviewers when the game had just released / was about to release. There seems to be 5 years between that. That can be quite important.

Necromunda should be out, where's our Day 0 review @melkathi?

Incoming.

GMG did a last day of pre-order 30% discount instead of the 20% other sites were doing so convinced me.

Played the first two missions last night (the game unlocked 1AM GMT so 3AM MST (Melkathi Summer Time)).

$300 is an attractive price point. I gotta imagine Microsoft is going to be eating a significant loss on each unit sold for quite a while.

Huh. I watched a bit of that video and tried to remember my Alpha Protocol playthroughs and I can't for the life of me recall having that many bugs or weird things happening in combat.

So what's that I hear on the wind?

Yeah. Don't play master race games on consoles you peasants. :p

The one thing that irked me about AP was the sniper rifle, it was way weird and wobbly.

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. My experience with Alpha Protocol on Xbox 360 was flawless.  It was quite a few years ago so my memory on it isn't the hottest, but I do not recall having any issues with it.

Fallout 4 on the Master Race, on the other hand.... ;)

Considering size of many AAA (or even some not AAA) titles, and how they're likely to only get bigger over the next few/several years, only 500GB is a bit disappointing. Although I understand it for price point reasons.  Is the Series X going to have 1TB? Or maybe later updated versions of either/both for more $.

PS5 better have a 1TB version somewhere....
