  1. Boeroer hasn't removed an eye from his character, he's just wearing Munacra Arret (a monocle).
  2. No, I'm not a degenerate. The 90s called, they want their pot hysteria back.
  3. So? Paladins are not necessarily any more religious than non-Paladins in Eora.
  4. No idea, I've never done it myself. You probably should though, since you did beat the (main) game. The fact that the Eyeless hunt you down afterwards is beside the point.
  5. I thought Josh himself said that if the Watcher died in the ending slides then they'd be dead i.e. you can't import them. I'd recommend playing the White March part 2 (it's good), but if you really don't want to then you can create an import state in Deadfire itself.
  6. Wait. What about the historical RPG? Bikes go back to the nineteenth century. Who says this isn't historical
  7. The typo here made me laugh, although if you do find a way to make games breed that would be great: we could start a selective breeding programme to produce the best games possible.
  8. Hence my preference for partial voice acting. Use voice acting to emphasise the important stuff and have the unimportant stuff unvoiced.
  9. You can argue whether or not the use of the Bleak Walkers in this situation is morally justified, but the actions of the Bleak Walkers themselves are evil. Executing prisoners of war is an evil act.
  10. Shields can only be equipped in your off-hand slot as of the current beta. You can equip a shield (even the same shield) in the off-hand slot of two separate weapon set but you cannot equip two shields in one weapon set.
  11. Nope. In the past I might have drank, but I have pretty much given up drinking these days.
  12. Agreed, very cool idea. Seems to fit perfectly with what we know of Wael as well.
  13. That's pretty much my understanding as well. Full plate on foot would usually be wielded with a polearm, on horse with a lance backed up with a mace/hammer/axe. Even when using a lance people wearing full plate in this sort of era didn't usually carry a shield, even though they had a free hand.
  14. Is anyone actually arguing that no one likes VO? I've only pointed out that I prefer partial VO and explained why. I've no doubt that the majority of players prefer fully VO'd games. That said there's another explanation for your observation: good streamers know that different viewers read at different speeds, and some won't read at all (when I 'watch' steams I'm often doing something else and have them on as background noise) so they read the lines to ensure everyone will keep up. Related to this, despite loving these sorts of games I cannot watch let's plays of them: they just go far too slowly for me when I'm not actually the one playing.
  15. I never really had a problem with this in Pillars. With stronghold adventures my companions were rarely much behind the rest of the party, and if they caught a higher level adventure they'd sometimes even overtake the main party.
  16. Still not watched it. I really should get round to doing so.
  17. I assume this is a joke right? Given the amount of sugar she was feeding them: no chance.
  18. I agree that it depends largely on your definition of god. I suppose my point was that if you want to play a rational atheist in a setting where the 'gods' demonstrably exist you can (at least in Eora's case). It's all a bit semantic I guess. In a sense so I'd real world atheism in the sense that we have a specific term for it. Dragon's exist in Eora and not on earth yet we don't have a special term for not believing in dragons. That's because, I think, of the priveleged place gods have in our societies. Since the gods have a similar place in Eoran societies, and demonstrably exist, I'd say the way to rationally be atheist is to deny their godhood. Treat them like any other powerful entity. Not sure if that makes sense. I'm typing this on my phone so can't edit it as well as in my PC.
  19. "Everything said by anyone about the financial state of Obsidian is pure speculation and shouldn't be in any conversation." Because some people prefer partial voice acting? Because, rightly or wrongly, people perceive a link between fully voice acted games and a drop in writing quality? I'm sure there are other reasons.
