  1. I don't know the exact details regarding DoTs, MaxQuest would be the person to ask about that.
  2. I'll have to pay more careful attention to him in my next play through. I checked the guide and there wasn't really anything about it that I could see.
  3. Those are inaccurate. They don't track DoTs, damage done by pets or summons, and (iirc) they do include over kill damage. MaxQuest made a mod that fixes most of these issues.
  4. I tested it yesterday and, sadly, no. I was hoping that they counted as unarmed, but they don't. Would be great if Obsidian could add a proficiency for Claws (or give it automatically to all Druids or, at least, Shifters).
  5. Why are you ruining the Black Isle Bastards Fluffle. They were so cool and you went and made them pink and flamingo based!
  6. If you don't want to that's absolutely fine. I'll live with them (or use others). They might well be changed for release anyway.
  7. As I understand it (which is probably wrongly) Concentration acts like a one time shield against Interrupts, so if you get hit by an ability that can Interrupt (not all abilities can anymore) and you have a charge of Concentration you don't get interrupted but you lose that charge. I'm not sure whether you can stack Concentration charges or whether you can only have one at a time (I'm sure someone here knows).
  8. Arimintai's ones? I think the blend in exceptionally well and in many cases are better than the ones in game.
  9. Probably just me being wrong I take Fast Runner on Unbroken Fighters, but otherwise yes, it's pretty terrible.
  10. Perhaps I should have said "it started as a joke, BUT IT BECAME A REALITY! PINK ISLE PIRATES 4EVER!"
  11. Are you willing to redo some of the default portraits Arimintai? I ask because the filter results in the some wonky results for some portraits (the Pale Elf and Wood Elf female portraits that are based on the same model end up with their left eye looking really weird).
  12. Yep. I think apart from Death Godlike they are all in a good place (once they scale that is). I've no doubt Boeroer can make a ridiculous build that makes use of the Death Godlike passives, but in most cases it'll be bad.
  13. Boeroer noticed that as a result of this thread being necro'd, people were voting in the polls even though the results had long been submitted to Obsidian. There was then some discussion around what the floaty things on the BIB flag were (almost certainly lightning) and Silent Winter suggested flamingoes (which they kind do look like). Fluffle made the joke about how the name should therefore really be the Pink Isle Pirates and, referring back to Boeroer's observation, I suggested in jest that Fluffle should add a poll on whether we should change the name. He did. Tl;dr: it's a joke (one would hope the name Pink Isle Pirates would give that away even without the context).
  14. Minor correction: longsword refers* to what in D&D is called a bastard sword (what D&D calls a longsword is actually an arming sword or knightly sword). Moreover these were almost always used two handed, though they could be wielded one handed. The swords in the picture you show are longswords. I mention this because longswords were the quintessential half swording weapon. Anyway, totally agree with your point. The idea of half swording whilst dual wielding is ridiculous. That said, half the modals are ridiculous (the sabres annoys me most). Personally I'd suggest giving half swording to great swords instead (they cover both longswords and larger two-handed swords which would fit the style better). Of course your often wield an estimate in a half swording fashion too (they are basically the evolution of this style, completely abandoning cutting to be better at it). *These are all modern terms. Typically they would have been referred to as "sword" in their own era.
  15. Yep, that's the real strength of the resistance talents. You can give yourself immunity to some hard CC. They also stack with the racials that do the same (it at least did) the downgrade afflictions by two tiers, giving you immunity to the two lower tiers and downgrading the highest tier to tier 1.
  16. That's from something right? I want to say Red Dwarf?
  17. Luckily Dadfire isn't like the Matrix at all and there is no correlation between dying in it and dying in real life.
  18. Just like lashes from Spiritual Weapons I guess. Out of interest has that been fixed or are they still doing so?
  19. I get the reference, but then again at 33 years of age I'm positively antediluvian. Not sure I get the joke though.
  20. Okay that's awesome. Do you know if its intended or a bug?
  21. The deepest secret is this: if you die in the Deadfire you (will eventually) die in real life!
  22. The nerf to the Evoker's unique ability was pretty big too, at least to my mind.
  23. True. I dunno, at 5 Focus I'd probably use the occasional Whispers of Treason. It takes basically no time to build back the lost Focus and Charm is a brilliant form of Crowd Control.
