Strange but true (from the examinations on the subject I've read) - even with acknowledging grade inflation, High School GPA is a better predictor of Freshman college success than SAT/ACT scores. That's the reason a lot of colleges have been slowly been moving to a "multiple measures" system to evaluate admissions and placement decisions because the standardized scores work better when applied to a context (like HS GPA) than they do alone.

The cruelty to animals charge comes from the use of a bullhook in training (which IIRC is a hold over from training of elephants in India) paired with the need to separate young animals from mothers as part of training.

While I think that standardized testing is horribly misused and the actual meaning of the result horribly stretched to meet conclusions they could hardly support (or to bolster data that no one wants to admit exists by looking at how income and other demographic data show the same kind of success rates), I think the poet is wrong here: Most educational institutions still use the provision that the author is dead with respect to interpretations of their work. I do find this to be a weird artifact of the move to try to move to contemporary authors as educational resources and how they may object to interpretations of their work.

I thought it was a bad episode (not, mind you, that I'm all that crazy about the show; that said I enjoyed The Lying Detective without qualifications and there's few of these SHERLOCK episodes I can say that about). Biggest problem IMO was the story could only happen the way it did because Sherlock is stupid and Mycroft is massively stupid. But it tried to be clever and just really failed, IMO. And the editing in of Moriarty on video was annoying to me as a viewer.

Have you faced Morgiv the Enshrouded? https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/90701-lost-cards-from-morgiv-the-enshrouded-post-here/ I believe that can create issues with experienced characters as well as loosing cards from him.

Could you be more descriptive about not being able to use them? Have you deleted and recreated the party? If so can you create the party and it won't load? Any more details you can provide (also did you lose cards from Morgiv, or should I seperate this into a new thread?)

It is my understanding from the last developer message they had this fixed in development and it was planned to be in the next patch.

(Located in the settings menu) Gameplay Is pass & play on? Is permadeath on? Tutorial, Story Mode, or Quest Mode? (If not quest mode, did you recently enter it?) Characters in Party Location of each character Turn Order Scenario & Scenario Difficulty. If on non-normal difficulties, which wildcard powers are in play? What card was encountered when the issue occurred? (Or check, or card just played, etc) Did the issue occur on the first explore or a subsequent explore? If subsequent, what card did you last encounter? What was its resolution? (IE, you just encountered an enchanter and failed the check, and on an additional explore you ran into a blessing of the gods but didn't auto acquire it) Did other characters aid the check? What did they use to aid it? Was the encounter a Horde? (Skeleton Horde, Goblin Raid, Zombie Nest, Zombie Horde, Garrison Location Power w/ multiple characters, Henchmen encounter in Black Fang w/ multiple characters)

I thought about riding a train in the US once, then figured out I had to travel a day north-east by train to travel a day south-east by train to get where I wanted to go...as opposed to driving 5 hours north-east to the actual destination. Also all the cool trains like the 20th Century Limited ended their runs in the 60s. Maybe someday I'll tackle The Venice-Simplon Orient Express run from Paris to Istanbul since that's about as close as I'm going to get to the classic days of rail travel anymore...

1) Boomerang guy had surveillance boomerangs (which he used to spy on Incubus). He was also a fair fighter and shown to be able to break into places, so not without some skill. 2) Croc was still fighting when the SEAL guy left with the bomb to set it up.

You should be able to play logged in, you just won't get gold (IIRC) and you won't have the progress saved. You don't need to turn the permadeath on to play. You should be able to drag the character to the left-most open circle to add them to the party. But you really should sort out the login issue first, which I don't know what it might be.

My current job I don't actually have the degree for. Done okay in it for 7ish years. Fell into it because when the person who did have the degree left there was no one else who knew the practical day-to-day knowledge, so I became the interim guy and once I was interim guy it was far to embarrassing to think of hiring anyone else. My point is that there is this pressure to make a liberal arts degree mean job competence and it just doesn't. But the problem is that employers feel they need some gateway to keep the unwashed masses at bay. First it was a High School education, and once that became ubiquitous it became a college degree. Now I see signs that jobs are slowly moving from a Baccalaureate degree to a Masters as their minimum need to, again, create a dividing point. And then politicians begin sweating the whole thing because they need a job ready labor force to lure jobs for economic growth and by golly those High Schools and Colleges just aren't graduating people fast enough so they must be failing to educate people, by gum! We joke all the time at the university that eventually you'll need a Ph.D. to flip burgers at the rate things are going. Obsidian never mind the bollocks but are still, alas, waiting on the Sex Pistols.

DeVry is accredited, though. By The Higher Learning Commission one of the US regional accreditors (ie one of the six major College accreditors). To be honest this is a question that a lot of colleges across the US are struggling with. Lets be clear, a Baccalaureate degree was never intended to be a benchmark for employment and as the US increasingly puts that burden onto the degree, there is an increasing desire (pressure) to move away from liberal arts education and more to job ready education.

Are you dragging them to the left most open slot rather than a middle slot (even if the middle slot is circled)?

The short version is there was a fix not tested before the last patch, but also Obsidian is not currently actively supporting quest mode at least until story mode is complete and fixed.
