  1. The fragments are supposed to just show up in your ship when you wake up from the first god convocation dream. There's a bug where with imported saves they show up when you did reforge the sword and with created saves they show up when you didn't, though.
  2. There's good additional detials on this question here: https://www.reddit.com/r/projecteternity/comments/8l1lhg/definitive_list_of_poe_1_reactivity_in_deadfire/
  3. Yeah, free cannon is from binding souls to cannons. No sky dragon baby with "drove dragon off" at least in a created save.
  4. I made a set of spreadsheets in google docs; they're a work in progress. see, e.g., https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LqO04qSRIALGehhM3GbZPJzSkbn2qMz-VTAEkF-9ZSg/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LqO04qSRIALGehhM3GbZPJzSkbn2qMz-VTAEkF-9ZSg/edit?usp=sharing
  5. For some reason, in *created* histories, you have to pick "did not forge the blade of the endless paths" in order for the blade fragments to show up in your game. I have personally confirmed that in created saves, sending the Devil of Caroc to the blood pool currently lets you get her armor AND her blood pool bonus at least in my game, but others have reported this didn't work for them. A lot of stuff just seems to not work in imported saves. My imported save has basically nothing carrying over -- no Hasongo bonuses, no free cannon, nothing -- despite having made most of those choices.
  6. Interesting build and I was wondering myself about the skald / crit build / Killers Froze interaction. Did you run into issues with limited damage types? It seems like one big weakness of rapier builds is, just as with guns, the restriction to piercing damage type.
  7. In the meanwhile, there's a mod in the mod forum that removes "blunted criticals" from every weapon.
  8. I suspect that process to drop it is somehow bugged. *Nobody* has found it yet.
  9. Oh, the watcher skills are somewhat variable and also get removed if you respec due to the same bug: -Eothas! Stop! will grant you Chorus of the Lost - Distracted&Hobbled (Foe AoE: 2,5m radius) -Search for your Soul. will give you No Pity of the Lost - Distracted (Foe AoE: 2,5m radius; Steadfast Inspiration on Self) - Reach for Lost Souls. Will give Sympathy for the Lost - Distracted (Foe AoE: 2,5m Radius); Heal 35[base] (Ally AoE: 2,5m Radius)
  10. My PoE 1 characters always had low resolve. I rationalized it as "my soul is breaking apart and I'm going crazy, I can't deal with this, I'm freaking out here man!". A similar rationale makes sense in the second game because you've had most of your soul ripped away. So you can rationalize it in RP terms if you want to.
  11. Ok this is very solid work, good job This may not be what you mean, but the devil of caroc blood pool bonus is partially broken: the +1 penetration is always greyed out as a "conditional" with no clear trigger. edit: I think you can also get the "good food, better friends" bonus from a scripted encounter on an island in the northwest where you run into an adventuring party (behind an Ettin encounter). Depends on how you resolve the encounter though.
  12. Yup, can confirm same error present in my game. It's unclear what the trigger is for the condition.
  13. If you go with the heal on crit enchant, it may be the best chestpiece in the game for a crit-build player. Min's Fortune, any off-hand weapon with an on-crit effect, Fair Favor hat, that breastplate, you're rockin'.
  14. Currently at least, in saves created with the new game's savemaker, she just has to be dead for any reason; you can choose her as blood pool victim and still buy her armor.
  15. If you liked the game, tell your friends to buy it, or buy them copies.
  16. The best approach is to arrange a conference, make sure the conference breaks down, one side will backstab the other then attack you, you get both good armors and both good weapons. Then you just go murder your way into the vault. Then after that, recruit Pallegina, so you don't piss her off by tanking the quest. It may be possible to refine this a bit if you can get entree to the vault without blocking a conference but I'm not sure you can -- if anyone's figured out a way to get into the vault and then do the peace conference, please share.
  17. But it's bugged and gives resistance not only to harmful spells but also beneficial ones, like healing Not a bug, its Spell Resistance, not Spell Resistance to Hostile Spells. Besides, making Xoti Evil for the +Damage% for the party (Which scales off Religion) is a better choice anyway. As for the SR, always read the description on it, if it doesn't say that it effects Hostile Spells, then it will function the same way as the Mage Slayer weakness, and attempt to block all spells. Yeah, I'd argue that's a design flaw though -- it really should be Hostile Spell Resistance, because 10% ALL spell resistance just makes her an inept healer.
  18. Ok, makes sense. There's at least one bug remaining with the *created* save import though: to get the blade of the endless paths fragments, you have to set it to "did not create the blade of the endless paths," not "did create". Conversely, when you import a real save, it's successfully completing the blade forging that gives you the sword fragments in this game. So, one or the other is in error.
  19. the grimoire of disruption is the one we inevitably return to. we need thrust of tattered veils (how is it more people do not mention?) and we get much use outta arcane dampener, and expose vulnerabilities. also includes slicken, grimoire slam, necrotic lance, concussive missiles, minor reflection, call to slumber, form of the helpless beast, gaze of adragan, arcane reflection, chaotic orb, llengrath's warding staff, temporal cocoon, piercing sigil, arcane cleanse, and llengrath's reflection. underlined stuff we use so frequent as to be essential. that said, if we weren't simple using aloth or a geomancer maia, we would likely build a wizard character or multi 'round ninagauth's teachings, but the advantage to grimoire o' disruption is am recalling it is a ruined tower drop and if we wanted to guarantee early acquisition, we could immediate head to a ruined tower location following port maje and save-spam 'til we get the right grimoire... not that we would do such a thing... HA! Good Fun! This, this is Good Postin', right here. Thanks.
  20. Yeah, there's a strong, clear argument that the pirates are the most moral faction. Every other faction is functionally doing the same thing to at least some group of innocents; even the Huana are preying on the Roparu -- but the pirates are just the most honest and straightforward about it. The pirates at least they're responsible to a constituency.
  21. I may have missed it, but I'd add a section on import bugs. They've fixed the big noticeable ones (vela, etc) but there still seem to be some remaining -- for example, I know my character had "gift of the machine" in the old save, but it doesn't show up post-Hasongo (and neither do any other benefits); similarly, I bound the souls to the white forge, but no free cannon got shipped to me, either.
  22. I'm trying to figure out how far you can get in the game minimizing combat. Obviously in the intro in Port Maje, there are a few fights that seem mandatory (killing the panthers outside Aloth's enclosure, etc.) but once you get to Neketaka, you can actually get a lot of advancement without engaging in combat. Off the top of my head: 1) You can raid Arkemyr's vault and get all kinds of gear 2) You can resolve the feuding families peacefully and get two good weapons (though resolving it with violence can give good unique armors) 3) Shipwright's Plight discount 4) Luca and the Vailian Trading Company contract case 5) finding delver's row 6) Harsh Medicine quest in the Gullet 7) "Her Last Request" from Mu'Hai's estate Maybe the "Trade Secrets" quest from Prince Arhui 9) Fassina's quest with the gloves Anything else I'm missing? Basically I'm trying to figure out how much gear I can gather / experience I can gain before I start combat. Are there any particularly stealable magic items in any specific places in Neketaka? I noticed there was a scroll of Raise Dead on the second floor of the Palace, for example.
  23. Oh you can get both weapons (the sword and the mace) peacefully by resolving the conference with a treaty. Getting the armors requires deaths though.
  24. The game lore and especially the game art is somewhat inconsistent as to exactly how hairy "hearth" and "wild" orlans actually are. Some "hearth orlans" are very furry, some are just people with ears. It may just be that there's a lot of person to person variation. The PC hearth orlan default texture has a light furry texture even on the face etc., but it's only really visible if you look closely.
  25. Oh, from here originally: http://www.somethingawful.com/photoshop-phriday/watchmen-funnies/1/
