  1. Sounds like the highest praise there could be. You know what is even better? Glass of whiskey and PoE. Yes, exactly, it should be taken as praise because it's meant as such, but the problem is that I don't feel myself gripped by the game, clamouring for more, like I would for, say, a glistening pint of my favourite beer, or some fried chicken.
  2. Is that the one with the looters? I also got annihilated the first time I went there. I was approaching from the north, so I went and hid behind the nearby house (to the left, from the north entrance). Then I sent my tank out to lure the enemies to my group. This denies the enemies the ability to fire upon your group from the raised platform, and makes it just a little easier to surround and focus on individual targets without exposing your team so much. For me this was enough to make the encounter rather trivial.
  3. I've been playing it off and on for a few weeks, and so far it's quite similar to POE1 in that I just can't get absorbed into the game too much. It seems to lack that all-consuming psychic grip that other games have on me. I've been playing Battletech and that game is freaking addictive man. That aside, the game is extremely nice. It's like a fine wine, or whisky, or something similar, that is very nice but you don't scream for another after you've had one glass. Or something. It's hard to express in words.
  4. Not as far as I can tell. 1) Xoti doesn't cast Swift Strikes reliably (or ever, it seems) using the following setup: Inspiration: Dexterity (NOT) -> Cast Swift Strikes 2) Companions just sit there doing nothing with a gear icon above their heads, despite enemies nearby, properly assigned AI behaviours, etc. This frequently happens when other companions are happily doing their thing, and the one companion just sits there doing nothing. See above. 'you aren't permitted to upload this kind of file' n/a I'll try and cap some screenshots next time I see it happening. Edit: here's one of my characters just sitting there doing nothing for no apparent reason: Here's one of Xoti prioritising a lower AI behaviour over casting Swift Strikes See the AI setup here: https://i.imgur.com/wvT1AhT.jpg I changed it from Dexterity(NOT) to this one but it still doesn't work.
  5. Why doesn't companion AI work properly still? Xoti doesn't cast Swift Strikes even when conditions are met, and companions frequently sit there doing nothing while a 'gear' icon is shown above them. Just to be clear, I think this is a great patch, I'm just confused as to why you haven't fixed this blatant bug yet?
  6. In this thread we have people saying money is easy to get and people saying money is hard to get. So it's not at all clear that there is an economy problem in the game at all.
  7. It's simpletons like you with Mommy's credit card that have enabled this era of cash crabs and release-early-patch-later mentality. Thx millennials! Or maybe 100+ hours for 50 bucks is super cheap when you got a well paying job.. I can't help if you're a cheapscape dude. I hesitate to even respond to this ignorant reponse. Grow up dude. FYI I'm a software architect for a fortune 10 hardware/software company here in the bay area. That good enough for you? This comment was funny coming from someone in the failing socialist country of Denmark. Ha ha ha ha. You have no power here.
  8. Yes. I had one 'point' (quarter segment in the circle) in Aggressive, and I had +18 or so deflection, instead of +20, from my F&C bonus (that's with Deep Faith). I used a program to fix it, as the Agg point was not earned from any of my actions.
  9. Might is still good, but other attributes like Perception and Dexterity are equally, if not slightly more important to DPS.
  10. So you're ordering your character to attack, and then you're complaining that your character is attacking? Forgive me, but this seems like a rather stupid complaint.
  11. I've seen quite a lot of complaints about this, but I think it's great. I really like being able to refresh my memory on who a particular faction is, when they're referenced in a dialogue, for example.
  12. I'm not sure if English is not your first language but I can't tell what your initial steps are. This: > Now.. the problem I am having is - when combat starts, I am clicking on the foe to tell the party to attack - my druid is running up there - whether he has swords or fists - to physically attack. doesn't make grammatical sense. I can come up with some strategies to help you, but only if I know exactly what you're doing at the start of combat.
  13. ahh BG2 sold 4 million copies from memory when it released. Plus theres the enhanced editions and what copies have sold over the last 15 years. Pobably well over 5 million so?
  14. How many people actually played the original BG2? It's a niche market. I don't think it's the death of the genre at all. But devs and fans alike need to be realistic about the audience for Infinity Engine-successor games. Chasing the mainstream is a waste of time.
  15. You don't have to fight Llengrath. There are other solutions to that encounter.
  16. Bugs I've seen so far: 1) The aforementioned misplaced Aggressive disposition change 2) AI behaviours not firing correctly 3) Some monsters behave oddly sometimes, specifically these fat blobs making this horrendous noise, something to do with a misfiring AI behaviour I suspect
