  1. It could be a combination of things this time around, but I don't know. I played as Jedi throughout the entire game - I never gained Dark Side points, ever. Possibly your choice to kill Kreia outright or to spare her life at the core? Killing off the Jedi Masters? It could just be your alignment at the end of the game.
  2. Ha! Damn incompetent all-seeing Jedi.
  3. I've heard rumors that you need to lean at least 75% toward either Dark or Light, but I was already at Light Mastery when I selected a prestige class, so I can't confirm this. How far have you fallen to the Dark Side?
  4. Well, I just watched the ending again (ugh) and the mass shadow device is definitely triggered, destroying the entire planet.
  5. Hmm... OK. Male Jedi Guardian 15/Jedi Weapon Master 11 100% Light Unmodified Stats: Strength: 18 Dexterity: 14 Constitution: 8 Intelligence: 16 Wisdom: 12 Charisma: 14 Modified Stats (with Master Valor): Strength: 29 Dexterity: 22 Constitution: 14 Intelligence: 25 Wisdom: 27 Charisma: 21 Equipment: Head: Meditation Band (20% Damage Immunity vs. Dark Side, Will +1, Wisdom +1) Hands: Sith Power Gauntlets (+3 strength) Implant: None Left Arm: Rosar's Armband (+1 constitution) Right Arm: None (reserved for shields, but I never use them anyway) Belt: Nerve Amplifier Belt (Immunity: Stun, Fear, Horror, Wisdom +1; switched out to CNS Strength Enhancer when facing non-Jedi) Right Weapon: Lightsaber (Damage: Energy, 12-40. Light Side: +6 vs. Dark Side. Damage Bonus: +3 Light Side. Critical Threat: 17-20, x2. On Hit: Slow 25% chance, 6 seconds, DC 14. Defense Bonus: 1. Dexterity +3. Strength +3. Wisdom +4. Restricted to: Light Side. Usable By: Rosar) Damage Range: 34-62 Attack Bonus: +42 This game was too easy. I've said it elsewhere, I'll say it here: combat needs to be more tactical.
  6. I loved the game and its story. I just thought it had a poor ending.
  7. It's no coincidence that they join you... but I won't say anymore.
  8. It's easy to earn influence with Mira and the Handmaiden, but I haven't been able to train Atton or Bao-Dur.
  9. You can train all of them, but you need enough influence with each one to do so.
  10. Need a new console for that, I think. KotOR is a great series, but it needs a new engine and I don't think the current generation of consoles could handle it.
  11. I loved that. The first time I did it in KotOR, I laughed my ass off. Oh, and in this game, I set the console to explode in 20 seconds, then ran into the next room. "I'll be safe here." 20 seconds later: Your entire party has been killed. You must restart the game.
  12. Well, it's not *that* funny, but I remember when I slashed at a footlocker in the Sith Academy only for it to blow up upon contact, blasting me across the room.
  13. What's most frustrating is that they *do* fear the exile, but they will never acknowledge that. They explain that this must be done to protect the Force, but in truth, they really can never know that. They simply refuse to believe that a life untouched by the Force can ever truly prosper. They do not understand the exile, and because of that, they fear him.
  14. Now that I was looking forward to. I'm in love with the Force (and philosophy in general, but I'm a movie and gamer fan first and foremost :D) and its many interpretations, some of which are probably more in-depth than Lucas ever envisioned. I would have liked to see what the other characters thought about them.
  15. I don't mind, myself. I chose the head that looked a bit like the older Obi-Wan from AOTC. I would have liked something closer to Qui-Gon, though.
  16. Well, I personally wasn't too surprised when Kreia revealed her plan. No, I didn't know what she was planning - I don't think anyone could - but her admiration of the exile's detachment from the Force was something I picked up on. In some ways, I sympathize with her, but what she proposed was something that just could not be allowed to happen. Despite our philosophies and our desires, they are never anything that can be forced on others. That's me, anyway.
  17. I have about 10 saved games, but none close to the remote/G0-T0 sequence. I don't care to play through the Telos attack again. Weak old Darth Nihilus just makes me feel sorry for him. :D
  18. Or dismemberment. At least with lightsabers - then they could probably still get away with a T rating thanks to instantaneous cauterization. :D
  19. And there you have my reason for my frustration with the ending. The characters weren't developed as much as they should have been, leaving plenty of room for them in a sequel. But instead, they were sentenced to fate. Otherwise, the ending fit well enough, but Obsidian was attempting closure before it should have.
  20. Don't worry - all of my wrath is squarely directed at LucasArts. Obsidian wasn't given enough time to develop the game.
  21. As for Atris... I think she was misguided. In seeking to learn the ways of the Sith in order to combat it, she became consumed by it. Typical. But even if you walk the path of the Light, she still believes you beyond redemption. That is the Dark Side and she never realized it. In the end (if you spare her) she will seek to distance herself from the Jedi in order to find her true self. A bittersweet, but fitting, ending.
  22. She was trying to destroy the Force. Even if that meant destroying every living thing in the universe (including herself), she would have been free. It would have been her choice - a destiny she made for herself. And she loves you for what she and the Masters see as the potential to end life, and without life, there is no Force.
