  1. I love the difference, personally. The effect the exile had on the Jedi masters was interesting, at least to me. Won't go into depth on the General forum, though.
  2. I've mentioned on another thread that Revan's plans were too well-thought out, too perfect, for the Mandalorian Wars to be a complete coincidence that Revan simply took advantage of. Or perhaps he was simply biding his time until such a force threatened the Republic, or he knew about it beforehand (through the Force or direct contact?) and began to formulate his master plan, keeping it hidden even from his own apprentice. Revan's plan was never to simply conquer the Republic alone, as Malak's was - his was to annihilate the beliefs of the Jedi, whether by converting them to his cause (through the Trayus Academy) or wiping them out (the Star Forge).
  3. I, too, find myself asking "what next" rather than "what happened?" I understand the story, the characters and their motives well enough, but I'm worried about what will be done with KotOR 3, since it seems Obsidian was eager to end the story the same way Feargus and crew ended Fallout and Planescape, and then intended to leave it at that. I'm hoping there is a KotOR 3, and that it is a direct sequel, and will develop every major character from *both* games further so that they can all come into their own right and will answer any questions left lingering in my mind, of which I can honestly say there are only a few.
  4. 26 at the end of the game, but there is no hard level cap. However, nothing seems to respawn, so you'll have a hard time getting to an uberlevel without exploits.
  5. I don't think you could really 'do' the exile as a party member. Even as a light side character, there's a lot of ambiguity to him (or her). Revan is a bit more clear-cut as either a DS or LS character.
  6. 1. It's on the second page of this forum. 2. No idea.
  7. Buddy, you should be pissed off at LucasArts for giving Obsidian such a restrictive timetable. It isn't always the developer's fault that they can't deliver all of the things they told us they wanted to when they're under the bootheel of a faceless, money-hungry publisher. I was personally more than satisfied with the game in general, though the rushed ending ruined the experience for me. Do you think Obsidian *wants* to earn a reputation for making poor games? They can't afford to - not like LucasArts can. They have some of the best RPG developers in the industry onboard. With more time, they could have done a helluva lot better. If you've ever played Fallout or Planescape: Torment, you'd know that.
  8. There's also a lot of positive feedback. So far, the biggest non-technical complaints are: the unsatisfying ending and the overall difficulty level. The technical issues *should* be resolved after a patch or two on the PC.
  9. You're not going to buy it because there's not enough eye candy? Yeesh. And the bugs? The PC version is your best bet to avoid them.
  10. The bonded crystal's powers change depending on your alignment, level and maybe even your class as well. You need to find out for yourself what it will do. As for the ultima pearl, I don't even remember its stats.
  11. Yeah, it would have. But it was the publisher's call - not Obsidian's.
  12. It's to the left of the missile bay, on the wall. Doesn't really look like a console at all. I think.
  13. You find the bonded crystal on Dantooine, in the same crystal cave from KOTOR.
  14. Flowing brown cloaks with cream-colored tunics and pants - same as the movies. Some have different colors, though.
  15. One saber: 32-61, +6 to Dark Side. Higher upon using Master Valor. I usually do over 200 damage with Master Critical Strike and the Perseverance form. I think it's Perseverance, anyway. It would probably be higher if I could have found a better crystal at the end of the game.
  16. G0-T0 is a droid and joins your party after you finish the Goto sequence. G0-T0 and Goto, get it? Yeah. Hanharr (not sure of the spelling) joins you on Nar Shadaa instead of Mira if your character is of Dark alignment.
  17. Ha! I can't help but laugh at this thread. Lines upon lines of black!
  18. I really don't know about the ritual - I was having too much fun blasting the Jedi Masters to care at that point. Best sequence in the game, I thought. But yes - I don't remember it ever being explained. I tell ya - those Sith and their dead Lords.
  19. All they know is the Force - they rely on it completely. To see the possibility of its end, even a slight one, is devastating to them. They fear the exile for his potential to destroy the meaning of their existence.
