  1. No firearms? No you are fine. If you were a gun owner, THEN you would be considered an enemy of the state. no handgun. different. HA! Good Fun!
  2. am embarrassed to be admitting how virtual all our pr0n searches is work related. as an over-educated and single adult male who don't drink alcohol, or own a handgun, and who searches pr0n primarily at work, we no doubt we fit some kinda fbi profile for weirdo/fringe behavior. HA! Good Fun!
  3. I just don't get how these people email like it is private. Nothing you do online is private. not even pr0n searches? oh p00p. HA! Good Fun!
  4. allyourbeerarebelongtous.com? or dontblamemeivotedbeer.com HA! Good Fun!
  5. doesn't need be a matter of taking a side, does it? am suspecting a big budget and more serious deadpool sequel, in the right hands, could be a great flick. converse, is also making sense to wanna keep doing what already worked in the first movie. got two guys who had different ideas for the sequel. am personal relieved there weren't a compromise. action sequels tend to fail for Gromnir. makers o' such movies seem to believe sequels to action movies need have more action, explosions and more dire consequences for the protagonist. strikes us as a fundamental flawed pov. try and create same movie but with More o' everything is doomed. for a sequel to be keeping deadpool's limited scope and tongue-in-cheek humor is a perfect viable approach, but if is functional the same movie but with more fight scenes, more gunpowder and villain who gots slight bigger plans, then am gonna predict, at best, mediocrity. even so, we need not take sides. not got a problem with either the director or the actor. sure, w/o compromise the studio needed to make a decision, but this don't seem like the kinda choice where one guy needs be wrong. miller vision could work. reynolds got a good argument for wanting to keep deadpool 2 smallish. as long as sequel doesn't make typical sequel mistakes, Gromnir could be satisfied with either approach. HA! Good Fun!
  6. still got our hatred o' mmos in general, and the mmo ilk who make mmos such a comical bad experience. we keep trying random mmos which claim to be different/better, but have not been caught unawares by a shinning example o' the genre. swtor is a game we can largely enjoy solo, so in spite o' our general loathing o' such fare, we continue. the swtor pvp has balance issues as does most mmos not dedicated solely to pvp. some o' the fps is ok, but repetition kills all love for those. swtor pug operations ain't worth our time and we will not join a guild again. *shrug* swtor is not a great pc rpg, but is so few pc rpgs always available and being updated... regardless o' the fact it is an mmo. as soon as a new poe or torment gets released, we drop swtor for months as earlier noted. swtor gets considerable gameplay hours, but only when nothing else is available to us. maybe not contempt, but hardly a ringing endorsement. even so, we has, in spirit o' fairplay, experimented with any number o' mmos. if there is a better mousetrap out there, we ain't seen it. swtor is a typical mmo, for better and for worse... but it does also have limited value as a pc rpg. HA! Good Fun!
  7. You can buy an Eyepatch off a Republic Adaptive Gear Vendor(20-30 comms). RD-07 Viper iirc. So...good thing on throwing money around :D . was looking for an eyepatch for snake plisskeen and not some kinda retro-cybernetic eyepiece. http://torf.mmo-fashion.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/RD-07A-Viper-Headgear.jpg ick as for swtor problems, o' which there is many, am not seeing it as any more broken than every other mmo we has tried, and swtor does have more narrative development than any other mmo we can think o'. yeah, by focusing efforts and content on story, the biowarians has placed less development into grindy and group content. like it or not, developers must needs be aware o' the reality that grindy aspects will be what occupies a majority of the end-game player's efforts. gotta do better with end-game. even so, 'cause swtor has more story focus, it is an mmo we is more likely to revisit after a three or six month hiatus. no other mmo gets us returning after we has stopped. 'course we ain't a big mmo fan to begin with, so there is that too. HA! Good Fun!
  8. oxymoron:drinkresponsibly.com just a suggestion. hagoodfun.com
  9. 33% lemon is not good, particular considering the diminished resale value o' any rental. *shrug* calax doesn't see what should be an obvious problem and is no way Gromnir will be able to explain how he were desperate and frantic only a page or two removed in this thread. perhaps this is a teachable moment/opportunity? dunno. not our profession. not our problem. HA! Good Fun!
  10. always tickles us to be hearing the cowboy ballad, streets of laredo, as reimagined by samuel barber. willie nelson version HA! Good Fun!
  11. I thought he was going to get money from the insuarance company for is old car? Anyway, I think it's better to get a cheaper alternative, and then start saving for a newer car if that is something you really want. I'm pretty certain that if you jump back a few years on the cars age you can still get a decent Japanese car. Is there anything that prohibits you from getting an older car Calax? Or do you 'have' to buy it from work? It's a combonation of things. Getting the Mazda from work puts me in a car I consider fun and good for a steal relative to everything I have seen from other dealership lots for the same model. shoulda stopped where we ended quote, 'cause the rest is rationalizing. is no reason you need be stuck with credit card rates on even a signature loan if you do a little legwork, but you like the mazda and purchase through work likely makes the situation easier... even though you o' all people should know to avoid buying a rental vehicle. regardless, is not an investment. money you put into this car purchase is solely red ink numbers, so makes more sense to keep those numbers small given how you were frantic only a few posts ago 'cause you thought the insurance payoff for your totaled car weren't gonna cover the 'mount owed on it. your recent concern seemed genuine, yet you seem to be putting yourself in a similar precarious financial situation. you got an opportunity to improve your situation rather than repeating a mistake. as to hurl observation, a large % o' folks will not consider buying a rental, and with good reason. prices for rental is typical lower 'cause o' their inherent leprosy. HA! Good Fun!
  12. is Gromnir the only guy who sees the mcdonald's fries and burger as misplaced? am overthinking, but can't help but feel as if we missed something. HA! Good Fun!
  13. if is not income generating or likely to increase in value 'cause is collectable or somesuch, then is a terrible "investment." is a personal vehicle. both vehicles will achieve goal of getting you to-and-from work for the next five years. both will allow you to make trips for groceries and whatnot. gas might be more expensive for the chevy, but repair costs will likely be more pricey for the mazda... as will insurance and other additions. regardless, the cars is gonna decrease in value. if both the chevy and the mazda lose 1/2 their value in 5 years, then the mazda has cost you considerable more money. take the $9k saved and use a simple compounding interest opportunity at a meager 5% and you is gonna see ~$2.5k return. can (and should) do far better with an initial $9k. *shrug* HA! Good Fun! ps young americans is notorious bad at investing. start savings young... and avoid making your home essential to long-term investment and savings. we americans tend to start late with saving and is far too dependent on value in our homes, even after recent real estate collapse.
  14. I looked it up, seems that the recession in 2008 has helped the number quite a bit, so only 17.3 percent leave in the first 5 years. When I started in 2003 it was close to 50%. They've also improved new teacher support a lot since then, plus states are way more strict about having properly credentialed teachers in the classrooms. We are still in a pretty massive shortage though. teacher? way too much additional education for a job with long hours, mediocre pay and students who is... well, when we think o' the typical American high school student (circa 2016) we cannot help but recall our time in paris, france. in many parts o' france, we met hospitable and polite folks. y'know, people... if a bit too fond o' smoking. in paris we encountered almost constant scorn and contempt which oscillated 'tween unspoken and overt. teaching in the US, from our limited experience viewing real classrooms, is akin to being stuck in a room with obnoxious and sweaty parisians for nine months outta the year, without the benefits o' parisian food and art. HA! Good Fun! ps we got much sympathy for mediocre teachers. sounds odd, no? good teachers, for the most part, seem to enjoy their job. they got the classroom management aspect well-in-hand, and possess the ability to genuine teach extreme diverse groups o' students in a modern american classroom. however, as with any profession, many teachers is mediocre. being mediocre ain't a sin in most professions. a significant % o' any folks in a profession is gonna be mediocre. sadly, teachers got multiple classes every day, and each class is filled with dozens o' students. so many living reminders, by word or action, o' mediocrity.
  15. may be hard for you to believe, but the 2017 f-150 raptor mpg is an improvement from previous models, thus there is indeed an ecoboost... from a relative perspective. smaller and more efficient engine with more power. but again, ford is actual not selling ecoboost save in the most tangential way. oh, and weight is 5600-5800 lbs, so almost 3 tons. HA! Good Fun!
  16. get yourself a 97 monte carlo with ~100k miles for cheap... dunno, 'round $2800 to $3000? is reliable and inexpensive to repair if something goes wrong. should be good for another 100k miles. sounds as if you aren't exact comfortable with your current economic situation, so do yourself a favor and buy the cheap and dependable used car. five years from now, when breaking even on insurance ain't a matter of possible breaking you, then splurge on something fancy. hell, in five years, when you feel comfortable with your money, go out and buy something stoopid... like a 1987 buick grand national gnx. feel like batman or darth vader. five years is nothing. HA! Good Fun!
  17. the only japanese entries in the full-size pickup category has virtual the same mpg. the f-150 raptor is a pickup. the f-150 is a big ol' 4x4 pickup. "Regardless, Raptor buyers aren’t purchasing on economy figures. No matter what well-argued rationale they might offer, they’re fundamentally concerned with how well the thing handles sweet jumps." --car & driver big dogs gotta eat. even so, the reason Gromnir drove a ford ranger as 'posed to an f-150 for so many years is 'cause the big trucks is gas hogs and we weren't all too concerned with handling on "sweet jumps." HA! Good Fun!
  18. the new f-150 raptor became available recent http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/future-cars/news/a30980/2017-ford-raptor-horsepower-torque-performance/ in case chill wants a 4x4 vehicle which will start conversations with his perplexed and/or scornful european friends. HA! Good Fun!
  19. I have no idea who this is had a good part in the martian. was also in community for a number o years, but am admitting we never saw it. was kinda hoping for michael b. jordan... funny how you gotta use the "b" or it gets confusing. HA! Good Fun!
  20. well, as much as we suspect they is disliked by most obsidian boardies, am thinking that john mccain and bob dole is good folks even if you don't like their politics. bernie sanders, while having failed to make it through the primaries, came closer to beating clinton than many expected, and while he is clear a different kinda cat from mccain or dole, he also seems like a man o' principles. perhaps this election will result in backlash 'gainst the clinton and trump kinda characters. dunno. as for shady's fashion observations, when clinton came out for the debate, we thought she were, perhaps, auditioning to be the new colonel for kfc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDIzMdpqadQ unfortunately there is no extra-greasy on the kfc menu. woulda' been perfect. HA! Good Fun! ps the above kfc commercial(s) caused us to break up with our most recent female companion. not kidding. found our self explaining to our lady friend why it were funny to use george hamilton in an extra-crispy commercial. she were too young to get the joke. eventually she were able to visualize mr. hamilton, but were only 'cause she had seen him on dancing with the stars? made us feel like a cradle robber.
  21. get yourself a 97 monte carlo with ~100k miles for cheap... dunno, 'round $2800 to $3000? is reliable and inexpensive to repair if something goes wrong. should be good for another 100k miles.
  22. Slowly releasing personal emails a month before the election in order to make the Clinton campaign look bad is pretty clearly a biased act. It's also a dangerous precedent to set, Rubio had a pretty good response to the situation: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/exclusive-rubio-talk-wikileaks-donald-trump/story?id=42895586 not to be too cynical, but the rubio approach could be as calculated as those who is pointing out all clinton's wikileak wackiness. make certain the wikileaks issue is raised at every presser, interview and barnyard hootenanny, and then lament how terrible such attempts at propaganda is for the electoral process. simple mention "clinton" and "wikileaks" keeps all the nonsense fresh in the public consciousness, but rubio gets to appear as being enlightened and above the fray. ... Gromnir don't resort to that kinda thing as am too ethical. nope, never. HA! Good Fun!
  23. You can't really blame the left fully, since the Patriot Act was a pretty massive move against personal freedom. But the left has continued the trend the last 8 years. well, you kinda can blame the left for the patriot act if you want to as only 66 members in the house and 1 in the senate voted 'gainst passage. am not recalling exact numbers o' party affiliation in house and senate at the time, but senate were close to an even split. was very much bipartisan support. a small number o' democrats and an even smaller number o' republicans opposed the patriot act, but is dishonest to give the left as a whole a pass for patriot passage. HA! Good Fun!
  24. in an interview from the not too remote past, f. urquhart identified neil gaiman's neverwhere setting as an appealing potential game world. a neverwhere game would be fantastic, but am actual convinced that gaiman's graveyard book offers superior material for a game. got readily identifiable factions and motivations w/o some o' the pretension we see in many fantasy/sci-fi settings. the desire to be unique tends to results in a fail o' style o'er substance for books and games. as a work intended for young adults, the graveyard book is lacking in pretension, but while the settings and creatures is all familiar, they is crafted with depth o' character rather than relying solely on a hook (visual or otherwise) to keep the audience interested. is a world o' instant recognizable vampires and werewolves and ghosts, among other creatures o' myth and legend, but more classical inspired as 'posed to anne rice/underworld origins. the man-jacks were fantastic villains in gaiman's book but obviously one need not limit oneself to the jacks as a game bad guy. another nifty aspect o' such a game would be potential using famous world graveyards/cemeteries as game locations. http://www.businessinsider.com/worlds-most-stunning-cemeteries-2014-2?op=1/#yama-cemetery-in-tokyo-originally-belonged-to-the-aoyama-family-before-becoming-japans-first-public-cemetery-its-famous-for-its-cherry-blossoms-which-draw-visitors-from-march-through-early-may-1 famous and beautiful cemeteries ('bove and below) as well as otherworldly realms o' death/near death offer endless possibilities. setting and creatures is familiar, but is done artful and creative. not gonna happen, but a guy can dream. HA! Good Fun! ps some folks will recognize our oft repeated loathing for vampires and zombies. as such, the graveyard book is a rather unexpected exception to a rule.
  25. farming crates for gear? welcome back 2012. got visions o' the ilum pvp area clawing their way up from the depths o' our swtor memory. yeah, the farming will be different from old ilum stuff, but it sounds a bit... odd. gonna have need o' seeing implementation. edit: added sweary video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lz-GRE9f3e4#t=71 ilum pvp crates had a random chance o' dropping 1007. HA! Good Fun!
