  4. When the constitution of the USA was drafted, it was the most forward-looking and modern document of its type. Equal rights weren't dolled out by the founding fathers because they were operating upon the society built by the Georgians, i.e. British Empire (although the George's were from Germany ), which still has no constitution btw. Universal suffrage didn't occur (at a national level) until Haiti (which wrote human rights into their constitution in 1804: the first country ever to do so). Britain was still moving 40k slaves through their territorial waters at this time. Haiti was the second independent country in the New World, and the only successful slave rebellion in world history. Until the French extorted reparations from them to end the blockade; even the Vatican withdrew its priests from Haiti and did not return them until 1860. France demanded, and got, an indemnity of 150 million francs in 1833. (Haiti was the richest island in the Caribbean at the time of the rebellion under Toussaint L'Ouverture.)

  7. Definitely get some good shoes. Also be careful on the surface upon which you run; I had horrendous pain (not immediately afterwards, sometimes as much as a day later) where my knees felt like someone was uses a melon scoop to scrape out the inside of my patellas ... (I was running on concrete; changing to grass and more IT band stretching to ensure contractions in the quadriceps due to lack of hydration or post stress recovery didn't pull on the IT band and cause the above-mentioned pain.)

  14. Only in your world of illogic. Here's a simple concept for you to start with (ok, I lied, I will try to educate you, it's stronger than me): do you really think that a government would give money to people, outside their electorate, that didn't give them more money in return? Do you really insist in believing that foreign grants would have the same net effect on the donating countries economy if the money were channelled straight into it? Really? Do you think you've just come up with some amazing observation that has somehow been missed by every man, from every political party or government department? That is some overpowering solipsism you are saddled with. Ok, ready for a second step? Money invested in a nascent economy will nurture it into a larger one, i.e. one that requires more trade. Following so far? (I am assuming, for your sake, that you are taking on a advocatus diaboli persona rather than just being completely and utterly obtuse.)
