  1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's still possible to click on and loot individual enemies. So, is there still a problem?
  2. ^EDIT: I find loot glow annoying too. I don't understand, how does this detract from the game? Can't you loot one enemy at a time anyway if you want to?
  3. Yes please, this adds to creating a good "IE vibe".
  4. It can already be watched again: http://www.twitch.tv/pax2/b/633843773 Skip roughly to the 6:18:00 mark.
  5. Here's where we play: https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/557233/numenera-the-heart
  6. Numenera is a fairly new pen and paper rpg that got kickstarted in 2012. Numenera takes place a billion years in the future, on earth. Several civilizations (I think 8 ) have come and gone in that time; leaving behind amazing technology called "numenera". No one really understands this old technology, because the the current understanding of technology is only equivalent to medieval times. It's an rpg system that emphasises storytelling, but it has some really neat and elegant mechanics. Players start creating their characters with a simple sentence like this: I am a Perceptive Glaive who Hunts Mutants. You can try out making a character here: http://darkliquid.co.uk/playground/numenera/ Or read about numenera here: http://www.numenera.com/ Wushu is not a setting, only a lightweight rules system. I think we've been playing the free version "Wushu open", This describes it well: "Action movies have always been at odds with realism. Fortunately for us, their conflict is easily resolved with a series of savage kicks to realism's face! Impossible leaps, insane acrobatics, and victory against overwhelming odds are all staples of the genre... and the essential elements of action role-playing games. Sadly, traditional RPGs have long been in league with realism. They penalize players who want to, say, kick seven mooks with one spin kick by piling negative modifiers onto their roll, which makes them less likely to succeed. The inevitable result is that smart players stick to simple, boring actions and take a tactical approach to combat. Wushu breaks up this insidious alliance with a core mechanic that rewards players for vivid descriptions and over-the-top stunts by making them more likely to succeed, each and every time. Traditional role-playing games also alienate themselves from action movies by segmenting time into rounds of only a few seconds. In the movies, you get to see characters trade a whole series of attacks, defenses, and counter-attacks before the camera cuts away. In role-playing games, players are usually limited to one action per round, and they only get enough time for one swing, punch, or pull of the trigger before the next player's turn. This takes the back-and-forth pacing that's essential for exciting fight scenes and stabs it straight through the heart! In Wushu, players are encouraged to make as many attacks, leaps, dives, parries, and ripostes as they like before any dice are rolled. Each "round” is divided into two parts, which everyone completes at the same time. First, the group Describes the scene; this is the important part because their narration determines what actually happens in the game world. Then, they Resolve their dice rolls to see how well it all worked." It's all been crazy fun so far. On a Saints Row scale of crazy, I'd say our Numenera campaign has been like Saints Row 2, and our Wushu sessions like Saints Row 4.
  7. Holy smokes! That's awesome. Downloading.
  8. Hi Darkpriest. We're playing 21:00 CET on every saturday. we're currently switching between our numenera campaign, and random one-off wushu sessions when we feel like it. I can't speak for the others, but I'm sure you're welcome to join in.
  9. How about the sword functioning as a reusable shrapnel grenade? If you want to be extra evil, you could activate it when it is sheathed in your enemies. I was thinking about the next session, we should get around to building Boregal's body. Maybe while we're on the train? I was also thinking whoever gives the most xp for Boregal, should maybe keep him as a familiar of sorts. Oh and we gotta remember to give Victor those shoes.
  10. Steve (GM): "What do you do now?" Chimron: "I look around the town. I gather rumours." Steve: "Well, roll a d20" Chimron rolls a 20. Steve: "You just rolled a 20, not a d20" Chimron rolls, gets a real 20. Edit: next roll after that was also a 20.
  11. Excellent. With The Witcher 3 and GTA5 no longer releasing next to Pillars of Eternity; and people like angryjoe looking forward to pillars. I foresee a big success for the game.
  12. That's the beauty of it. It defies explanation.
  13. Here's our three most recent wushu characters. We love to make new and more crazy ones each time. Steve is our GM. J is "that guy" who we keep forgetting because he's into fighting with "Amnesia-fu" The Gamemaster fights with the power of GMing. Fruitpunch is a living man-tree thing that wears a ghillie suit and can grow fruit out of the branches on her head.
  14. Playing Silly Wushu campaigns once in a while is amazing:
  15. That UI is gorgeous. For the first time, I want to have a modded UI instead of what is in the game.
  16. Really nice mock-up. They way you framed it at the top is especially awesome. I suggest putting gems on the left, bottom and right panels, so one can click on the gems and drag the panels into different sizes. Kind of like how in Baldur's gate, you could click on the side button to make the log taller.
  17. Should we say, from 6 or 7pm until 10pm tomorrow?
  18. I pretty much agree with everything here, and can understand the limited time and programming problems. I hope that when obsidian does the expansion and updates, they prioritize removing combat-only as much as possible.
  19. I just want you guys to have fun, I enjoyed how laid back the last panel was.
  20. Well mages having unlimited simple spells through implements (wands, rods and staffs) is from D&D 4e (which is Sawyer's fav D&D). It is not about wands having infinite ammo but mages wielding them having it. In 5e they scaled it back a bit and just given wizards infinite cantrips (0 level spells) that are simple attack spells which they can use without anything but their magical power. Do you have a source for that? All I remember was Sawyer criticizing 4th edition D&D.
  21. I guess we could start at 7 pm on sunday then.
  22. Interesting... I like the idea of cutting out accuracy.
