  1. I'm tempted to go with a cleric for my main character. For the rest, I'm going to improvise, as I play through the game,
  2. I am interested. Even though I love crpgs like Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights, I've never tried playing a pen and paper game before.
  3. Wow what a great update! I especially love the spells. They seem both familiar and new, and sound so interestingly useful.
  4. Welcome to the Forum! In my experience, every time someone has a crash problem with this game, it's caused by a corrupt file. I suggest you reinstall, or if you have a steam version verify the game cache integrity.
  5. Oh come now, did you not see the longing glances he and Dr. Beverly Crusher would share? Of course, but it never really went beyond friendship (unless I missed some episodes), and I think Obsidian wont have problems writing that sort of thing. I don't normally french kiss my friends; normally. I don't remember that, I guess I have some episodes to catch up on.

  7. I don't think Picard really bothered much with romance.
  8. Yes! A dream game of mine would be if Obsidian made a Star Trek game in Alpha Protocol style, but with less emphasis on shooting and an engaging ship to ship gameplay system like FTL. And also some ability to explore new worlds and go on lots of optional away missions. I hope I don't get hanged for these: - The Mass Effect series was the best thing ever since Baldur's Gate 2, until that ending ruined it. - Saint Row 3 and 4 are really fun RPGs. Sure you can't pick dialogue or change the story much, but the way it lets you customise your character and encourage silly imagination is a great form of role-playing. - It can be great when an RPG assumes several things about your character, and then let you role-play in more detail.
  9. Great idea IndiraLightfoot. - Planescape torment would be a better game if it wasn't so ugly. - I'm loving all the changes obsidian are making to the gameplay in PoE. I think they all sound awesome. - I like how simple and "boring" Baldur's Gate 1 is compared to other crpgs. - I think Fallout 1 and New Vegas are the best Fallouts, and Fallout 2 sucked. - More games should be timed like Fallout 1.
  10. I suggest picking a game with a good editor and modding community. That way you can play around with the editor until you have an idea, and then you can share it with people easily. Off the top of my mind there is the last Fallout games, Elder Scrolls and Neverwinters 1 and 2 to try. Have a look at www.nexusmods.com it's a great site for modding in general.
  11. I just want a bear, or maybe something that flies like a hawk.
  12. I think we all really want Heck to make a return. Though the odds of a spiritual successor happening is probably more realistic, and perhaps it would be better.
  13. Woohoo! Glad that solved your crash problem. I hope you enjoy the game.
  14. I found out that the file will upload when you change the extension into something else than ".sav", for example ".txt". Have you tried verifying the game cache? Perhaps reinstalling would work.
  15. It could be a corrupt file, maybe you just need to "verify game cache integrity". I've also heard of crash problems when "PhysXLoader.dll" is missing, this guy here solved the problem: http://steamcommunity.com/app/34010/discussions/0/846965882691206619/ Now that you're a member and not an initiate, does attaching the save file work?
  16. I tried attaching a save file as well with the same result. Maybe you have to be a member and not an initiate on this forum, to upload that kind of file. Have you tried replaying the game from before the mission start? Perhaps a different dialogue decision or play-style (such as shooting everyone instead of sneaking) will make the crash go away.
  17. I'm wondering if I should finalize my pledge now, or wait till I can afford to upgrade it. Though if they're planning on adding a way of editing pledges, maybe I should just do it now.
  18. I quite like Ganrich's suggestion of changing the names of "strength and constitution", to "constitution and endurance". I would also suggest willpower as a replacement for strength, it seems more fitting with the in-game mechanics than strength does. Willpower - increase health and inventory slots Endurance - increase stamina Dexterity - accuracy Perception - critical damage Intellect - damage and healing Resolve - duration and AoE
