Oh, those notorious Finnish anarchists! Look at the bright side, as bad a thing as empire building is, no empire lasts. The Roman empire grew complacent, diluted with foreign ideas and ethnic groups in their armies and edministration, the Spanish empire grew complacent, navel fixated and convinced of their own superiority. The various Chinese, Indian, pre-Columbian, British etc. did the same. Even a recent one like the communist Soviet empire choked to death in paranoia and overspending on their military budgets to sustain their global ambitions (and literally fell apart, when the infrastructure couldn't carry the weight anymore). Somehow, I doubt very much, that you are going to get a representative view of the hardware in PC land... But anyway: 2.8 Ghz P4 (800Mhz FSB), 2 Gb pc3200 mem on an Asus p4p800 deluxe board(hyperthreading), GeForce FX5900 w. 256 mb mem, 1 80 Gb system disk and 2 120 Gb in a raid 0 (sigh, I really need more disks...), Soundblaster Audigy II and my trusty old Hauppauge tv/radio/ttv card (for watching tv on my computer) and one region free dvd drive and one region 1 dvd burner (that way, I can watch both international dvd's as well as those US ones that checks for RPC1 drives) Way too many peripherals to fit into one room, 5.1 speakers, drawing pad, joystick etc.

Gorth and I have been together for more than 20 years now, so we are "Old Buddies" He's my alter ego in most things that require a proxy, whether it be old mud games, mailing lists, forums, whatever. Mostly he is just me, as in the real me, although he usually only reflect one personality at a time. Some days cracking bad one-liners, some days brooding and insightful, somedays just bored and midly trolling etc. Mostly a reflection of the person behind the keyboard at the time of writing. No, never really had any trouble keeping the two apart. The real me's identity is not secret, I just don't go around broadcasting it B) If I had to point out a difference between Gorth and me, it would be, that working in a competitive environment amongst lawyers, auditors, FMO's, CEO's etc. Gorth is less "guarded" in his statements and attitude which is a nice release (escapism if you want) from real life every now and then... :ph34r:

Is it really necessary ? Not that I'm against bigger avatars, I just never felt a need for it. I sort of like the "uncluttered" look and feel of these boards (except the NWN section, which is awful).

I don't own a car But then, I live a 10 minute walk from work and the city center, I don't really need one. Whenever I have to leave the safety of my office and face the outside world, I go by taxi bewteen airports and hotels, Boeing 737 between cities and towns and Boeing 747 when travelling between continents. Perhaps I should get a bicycle...

I'm not much of a SW fan. The only DVD trilogy I want is when the original theatrical release versions becomes avaiable on DVD, unedited, uncut, un-socalled-enhanced (sheesh that was bad) and maybe with a few extras like outtakes, things that didn't make it into the movie, the making of etc. on a disc of its own

Erhh, not quite sure. But having a track record of skills with D&D stuff might be beneficial and you sort of need to submit something to Atari (being the current license holder for D&D computer games) to evaluate and decide whether or not Atari want's to publish your stuff. If not, then you need a significant million $ amount in your bank account to purchase the rights from Atari But then again, like I said, I'm not quite sure about all the details.
