Yes, Happy birthday Alexia
-
Dear Sir, I am a senior citizen. During the Clinton Administration I had an extremely good and well paying job. I took numerous vacations and had several vacations homes. Since President Bush took office, I have watched my entire life change for the worse: I lost my job. I lost my two sons in that terrible Iraqi War. I lost my home. I lost my health insurance. As a matter of fact, I lost virtually everything and became homeless. Adding insult to injury, when the authorities found me living like an animal, instead of helping me, they arrested me. I will do anything to insure President Bush's defeat in the next election. I will do anything that Senator Kerry wants to insure that a Democrat is back in the White House come next year. Bush has to go. I just thought you and your listeners would like to know how one senior citizen views the Bush Administration. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Sincerely, Saddam Hussein

I had the same thought and asked the question a while ago... There's no plans for a playback feature that I'm aware of. Unfortunately, playback is a complicated feature to integrate unless the engine was designed with it in mind in the first place. And this one wasn't. I don't think it'd be doable. Looks like a "no"

Ehh... Harder games != more fun. Better games = more fun. Better being a completely subjective thing. The original poster (Alexia?) had the right idea with a variable setting. If the default setting is not your cup of tea, by all means change it to suit your playing style. Just leave options open for both the less skilled and the expert players B) Did the Mensa test a decade (give or take a few years) ago. Scored 168. Laughed my ass off, as I don't consider myself very bright and I suck at math. You can't take those things serious at all. Ask youself this, are you skilled and resourceful enough for whatever you want to do in life ? If so, great. If not, either work harder than others or do a reality check and set yourself some new, achievable targets (did the last one a few times myself )

A small "world map" on each world to expand the transit system. Not just going to the Ebon Hawk and back, but also from sub-map to sub-map when they are considered "safe" and have been reached first time. Especially Manaan drove me crazy when having to walk from from one end of the city to the other end... While not exactly expanding on the Ebon Hawk itself, it expands on the functionality that it provided originally...
-
That would be the point of the thread, discussing how to do that
-
I'm too lazy to do it myself, but somebody ought to start an IQ measuring technique thread in WOT...

An interrogation room, definitely an inquisitorial style interrogation room. Then you have an interesting place to dump all those petty thugs and jedis and have a bit of fun. Add to that wieldable equipment like organ extractors, thumb-screws, red-hot pincers... Suddenly I don't feel like leaving the Ebon Hawk again (except to collect new specimen for interrogation).

Heh, tried your test Ender. A meagre 165. Time to look for excuses... probably shouldn't do it at the end of a long workday etc.

Making blasters more useful
Gorth replied to OrganisedChaos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Adding dexterity bonuses to damage doesn't really make sense. Getting off more shots, yes. Getting better criticals, yes B) Otherwise, the only way I can see getting a dexterity bonus to blaster damage is, if you use the blaster to literally whack your opponent with it like a club -
Escape pods are for whimps... That otherwise useless cargo hold would make a nice bar. Add a couple of Twilek dancers to that and put a 'R&R room' sign on the entrance. Ehh... the female players might want something else... dunno. Make the interior gender and DS/LS dependant
-
While the DS play during Kotor was nothing to write home about, I definitely preferred the DS ending to the LS ending... Well, helping Czerka Corp. restoring order on Kashyyk and showing the walking carpets their right place was sort of fun... So was destroying the base of the Manaan economy by poisoning the water... Who am I kidding ? DS was fun I'll continue my tour of oppression, destruction and general ego boosting in Kotor 2 B)

And Desert Big city Sewers Above and under water Space stations/ships Grassy plains Underground tunnels/caves Tropical islands So whats left to do ? Lets see... Snow/frozen landscape/tunnels/caves Swamps (Dagobah?) Mountains Something completely weird (like the last level in Tombraider 2) Last but not least, ruins, preferably of a post-apocalyptic nature Taris undercity being my fav. part of Kotor Wonder if anything from the last list will feature in the game...

Not quite. I just spent last month travelling around my old home country on the other side of the world. When I got back, it was (or rather is) crunch time at work with some important deadlines for our current project comming up.... That means, for the next 3-4 weeks, I'll just add random (and often completely irrelevant) comments on subjects I havent kept track of

It would be interesting seeing some game, using the mechanics of Jefferson. Short of that, some game incorporating what I personally liked most about a couple of older titles. I liked the "perceived" freedom of FO2, as well as the NPC control of that game (seriously, I liked the idea of just giving the guys guidelines and let them handle themselves in combat). Add an interesting background story/overall plot like PS:T (not the same plot, but an interesting one). As for setting ? Anything from historical Aztecs to Bladerunner will do... B) If anybody writes the words "Real Time Combat" anywhere on the box, it stays on the shelf. Thats where I become completely irrational

Oerwinde, this is the "Way Off Topic" section. Would you please stop making sense ? Pretty much sums up my own thoughts.

Denmark - Sweden 2-2... Now what do y'know, they couldn't have agreed on a better result. A shame, that I don't read italian. Would've loved to read a couple of italian newspapers today. I might still understand words like corruptzione and scandalissimo though
-
Neither. Both are fairly easy to understand. What I don't understand is, why do they even bother ?
-
The first four words in the above sentence are just about correct. Otherwise, this thread as a whole, reveals a lot of ignorance in people who should be able to be better informed. Terrorism is a symptom right. How do you remove it ? You figure out the cause and then remove the cause. And before another ignorant hillbilly suggest that the cause of terrorism is terrorist organisations, the answer is wrong answer. The most frequent cause of terrorism is hopelesness. For the last couple of thousands of years, most guerilla activity has been waged by a hopelessly outclassed side against a superior side. Spartacus burned, raped and pillaged his way through the roman empire when there was no hope of victory left. The spanish waged a brutal guerilla war against napoleonic occupation forces a few centuries ago. The afghan mujahedin waged an equally atrocious "campaign of terror" against the soviet forces (funny, nobody complained about terrorists then) and finally, the palestinians, driven from their homes and farmland, living in refugee camps with no future has no means of striking back, except using everything at hand, including their own bodies as a weapon against all representatives of a hated occupation force. The Nazis recruited people without hope, hamas recruits people without hope, a dozen south american guerillas recruit people without hope. If somebody truly wanted to stop terror, they would offer the human resources that gets recruited into such organisations a hope for a future. If people can't see that, then the "war against terror" is already lost. It's called using the brain instead of more guns (using lots of guns in the first place accomplishing absolutely nothing for world peace).

Aren't these redundant ?
-
Way to go Sweden... Oops, I hope nobody heard that... being danish etc.
-
Damn, damn, damn! Those italian minimalists. Wonder how our poor danish boys are doing after all that running around in 34 degrees celcius... That game deserved a couple of goals in both ends. B)

Well, this answers some questions we've had
Gorth replied to Ivan the Terrible's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
And should we care ? -
You still wan't to meet these people ?!?

There can be no harmony without FO3...
