Is KOTOR in your top 10?
On a completely unrelated and off-topic note, I clicked on Darque's user profile to see if there was an interesting sig line (I click on peoples profiles every now and then to do that, as I have the signature feature switched off)... And saw this: User most active in forum: Obsidian Moderation ( 1646 posts / 40% of this member's active posts ) Damn is that an active moderator!

Disappointing review?
PC version of Kotor1 had "game stopping" bugs after 3 patches. Things should improve.

Is KOTOR in your top 10?
No. It's a nice game and I completed it several times, but compared to other games and games that once were, it might sneak into the lower part of the top 50 list. But don't feel bad about that, I've been playing computer games for 20 years. The game was very "medium" everything, medium story, medium gfx, medium music, medium charater interaction etc. It offered nothing new, but filled a gap at a time where no games of interest had been or were to be released for a long time. And as I said, even if not brilliant a quite OK game and good fun.

The time of reckoning!
The one I did at work. I went to the Mensa site and did it there (they have nicer colours on their test). Unfortunately, I didn't think of making a screenshot of spread 15 (which is lower than the value at spread 24). Should give approximately 138 at 15, which I think it missing one of the questions... (133 if you bungle two) Edit: Lets be honest, spread 24 is better for ego-stroking

Vestjyde (gammel Esbjergenser), nu bosiddende paa den anden side af Jorden. If you understand logic, you are going to use logic as one of the standards by which you evaluate other peoples performance. An empath might use peoples judgment of character skills as an evaluation tool. Few people would dispute that Mozart was a genius, yet in many ways not related to composition and interpretation he would be found lacking. Meh, people have been thinking about (and disagreeing about) this for centuries and probably will for a few centuries still

The time of reckoning!
True. Some forms are pretty abstract. Try to "measure" social or musical intelligence in units The online (which I like to think of as the "pattern recognition" one) is just an easy way to quantify things. How fast do you recognise the system behind what you see. Others are less easy (or impossible) to measure and people don't really agree anyway which aspects truly belong to intelligence. Not that people really agree on what intelligence either. Oh, and nice to see fellow Danes around here.

The time of reckoning!
If you really wanted to be serious about these tests, you should get the pen and paper versions, in a quiet room with nothing to distract you (for optimal performance). If taken online, for some of us during our lunch break at work with a sandwich in one hand and keyboard on the other hand, it's not "optimal" conditions when you try to focus on puzzles. But then, that particular test is no way representative for your IQ anyway as it focuses on a select subset of things you would measure in a "real" test. It measures one aspect of your intelligence, by no means your intelligence. It's no more a serious IQ test than a game of say tetris or scrabble

Combat System in KOTOR 1/2
Have you ever played "Archon" (an old EA game by Westfall/Freeman) ? For those who don't know it, it's a chess game where the pieces fight it out in real time, the winner of the battle keeps the square.

Hey, how about some good news, huh?
Memories... My first "real" adventure game, that I managed to complete was "The Hobbit" by Melbourne House (mostly known otherwise for "Exploding Fist", best karate game ever) The Hobbit made me read the book that came in the box... I was hopelessly stumped by something in the darkness that kept killing me. In the end, I gave in and read the damned book. One: It got me into reading a lot more of Tolkiens books and Two: I managed to complete the game (so I needed that glowing sword to light up in the dark when goblins were near, go ahead and bash me for the spoiler). Lets see, that would have been around 1984 (give or take a year)"

Gamespot Rumor: Troika shutting its doors
isnt vampires considered a sure fire hit? i would have thought vampires is just as much a "household name" as kotor or nwn. Ask 50 random people on the street. How many of these names do you recognise ? 1) Star Wars 2) Dungeons & Dragons 3) Vampire the Masquerade. My bet is, most recognise Star Wars. Many will have heard of Dungeons & Dragons. An insignificant few will have heard of Vampire the Masquerade (probably saw the TV series)

Apparently god hates me..
I saw that site a long time ago. I seriously thought it was just a satire site, with some outrageously bad jokes. Are you saying that guy was actually for *real* ???
