  1. Happened to me once a long time ago. It was outdoors though, not in my freezer. Forgot a bottle I had stuck in the snow (to free up my hands for a moment, fiddling with keys) and then forgot about it (leaving it outdoors) until the day after.
  2. Never heard of those cards. Maybe I should check my account some day. I do have somewhere between 50 and 100 games on my steam account (although 2/3 of those are Humble Bundle and similar games).
  3. Where is your trust in the system??? I find this one generally amusing (from www.cia.gov) "The Central Intelligence Agency is committed to protecting your privacy and will collect no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information to us." So, we are all pretty safe from snooping
  4. That's actually true... Witch hunts and burnings were the works of peasants and zealots. The Inquisition was created as a response to heretics (the Cathar and others). It was mostly about preventing sedition from the "one and only true faith" and cracking down on people who tried changing things. Pop culture has turned it into something different (e.g. WH40k) Edit: There is a kind of irony in the Roman Catholic Church inventing the inquisition, considering that they were the first heretics, deviating from the Orthodox faith, but that's of course pretty irrelevant to the game
  5. Just wait until somebody realise the reality tv value of the project. Big Brother in Space.
  6. Maybe she's your mother (insert Freud commentary here) and you are the son of the Hero of Ferelden... Artwork has been nice enough so far. Does look like something out of a ball at Versailles.
  7. Not quite there yet. My Powertech is level 48 (halfway to 49). Decided to stay put a bit on Hoth and go looking for Tauntaun mounts. Checking a FAQ it looks like you need binoculars to find the nests??? Also, in typical fashion, servers are going to be down for most of a day. In true EA style, it also looks like they are going to wait until mid-week when its public holiday here to *really* screw over APAC customers (instead of the start or end of the week)
  8. Isn't there a save game editor that was one floating around the internet, where you can change various things in your game? Might want to do a google search for it. It might be possible to change your LS/DS value to either extreme that allows you to play that last bit of background story then.
  9. Not sure if this is what you had in mind Added them to the original thread as well as updated the first post of this thread (because experience has taught us that people are lazy buggers and two links are on too many to have to click)
  10. How's the interface on iOs? I tried to replay Kotor1 (steam version), but the UI is just too horrible. Still stuck on Taris and I doubt I'm ever going to leave At least I got to finish the Kotor2 Steam version with the TSLRC mod.
  11. I wonder if I'm thinking of the same spot (on Korriban), but there is a place you can only enter when sufficient level. The "work around" being to come back later, when leveled up a bit more. Some of the fights in that sub section can be a bit challenging (in an otherwise easy game), which is why there is a level requirement. If it's not the place and some other place requiring LS/DS points, not sure then
  12. It could still make for a nice, gritty game, keeping the background history intact but moving the action to some place like the Ruhrgebiet could have some a lot of potential for dystopian adventures. A bit like that steel expansion for F3 (sorry, don't remember its name), just a fully fledged game (and who knows? JE might even appreciate the German setting).
  13. Nobody expects the Inquisition... Thread last seen hereabouts
  14. Split from original thread, since it was getting past the notorious 500 post mark: Start of old thread End of old thread @MC: If you want me to update your post with info from the first thread, like copy the initial post etc. just give me a shout.
  15. Gorth replied to Fionavar's topic in Way Off-Topic
Rest in peace Scott... Wherever you are, I hope you got to put in some quality time with your daughter, your family and your friends at the end
  16. As luck would have it, I got most of Sunday off for gaming, so I went back to SWTor (while waiting for EU IV). Instead of playing my main character (which I lost a lot of interest in when he couldn't keep his old name), I went back to play my Imperial Agent. Making his way to Alderaan: Felt very "James Bond" like, although my guy looks like a blue skinned, red-eyed thing rather than Sean Connery My "main" character is currently on Hoth and I figured I would read up on the new mounts you can get there anyway. Stressing the "Hunter" part of Bounty Hunter, I figured I would some day go hunting for what I need to acquire one.
  17. Weren't you one of the married ones? Seriously tempted to post the old Wifespeak -> Plain English translation
  18. No idea if they are visible on the southern hemisphere, but there is too much light pollution here anyway to watch the sky >_
  19. I must have missed some good drama. Only thing I ever noticed was people getting upset over ME3's ending. Got no problem with Origin. Only *buy* stuff that is exclusively sold there (which isn't much), preferring independent outlets and retail (whoever offers the best bargain at the time really, a number of online services being utter ****'s with regional price fixing and cartel agreements). For me, it's like Steam, a convenient centralised download library of my games. That I could then add the serial nos. of my old physical disk games from way past and add as download service for free was just an added bonus. Those old optical disks wont last forever.
  20. Yeah, that part was a bit confusing I can understand having 3 years per project if you have 3 projects and release one product annually (while 2 are in the works). Edit: On the other hand, it could be "EA Math" and explain while they feel they are under some scheduling constraints
  21. X2 is the original Elite on steroids.
  22. I found that my ideal party would have at least: 1 bard (bard songs rocks) 1 druid (packs more of an offensive punch than clerics) 1 paladin (for the paladin specific equipment, a bit of a spoiler, I know) 1 rogue (for the traps and *scouting*, plenty of sneaking can help with crowd management and selective combat) 1 Sorcerer (mobile artillery platform) 1 Cleric (never leave home without turn undead in this game) 1 Figher and or Barbarian (because you need sheer physical force when the robe wearing brigade just doesn't cut it). Actually, party selection is a bit of a (nice) headache in this game I tend to sacrifice the fighter/barbarian for the Paladin (usually named Gorth, being the true hero that he is). Since I rarely play non-humans (racist!), I'm not familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of the races.
  23. Which is not a bad thing (first hand experience with that). I'm located a few metres from one of the company directors. It gets a bit loud and no language filter applies, but it gives some insight into what the current hot topics are
  24. Isn't Skynet already trademarked?
  25. What a great picture. Might have to visit his site when at home
