Did you try the official forums (bug report section). Since you are a subscriber, you should be able to post Yes, "automation" of activities is a violation of the games TOS. As for having too much money, you could "invest" it in high values items and just sell one every now and then if you feel strapped for cash as f2p/preferred. A bit of extra work, but it saves the CC's for the escrow stuff. Since I intend to keep one of my two accounts as subscriber, I simply transferred all my money to my main char on that account, then transferring a bit on a need basis back. I don't really bother with it anymore either, as cash is plenty when you reach the higher levels. It was nice for a time though, just being able to constantly sending companions on crew skill missions without worrying about being able to afford it (watch those gathering and mission skills skyrocketing). The other benefit was you got to listen to some truly pathetic whinging from people when you suddenly started flooding the market way underbidding in order to press prices down in general (so I could pick up the item I was really interested in at a lower price, saving sometimes hundreds of thousands of credits when people start panic selling). Just wondering if anybody out there uses machines designed for non-gaming purposes as "entertainment" systems on the side. It's mostly going to be used as development environment (MS Visual Studio and MS SQL Server) or hobby (E-On Vue virtual landscape and animation and Thea - an unbiased rendering system). Considering some of the fun of the past with things running on wow32 and tweaking of core affinity and what have you, I wondered if somebody had actual experience running legacy software on not just multi-core, but multi-cpu environments, not intel x5? and x7? chipsets but something completely "alien"

Isn't that what various Google services are for? Running into dark spawn? See the little ad for skin conditioner. Armour and weapon needs upgrading? See the little ad for your local hardware/tool store... etc. Sad thing is, even if DA3 doesn't do it, somebody will eventually.

Managed to put in a few hours of SWTor last night. My Bounty Hunter is now only a few millimeters on the progress bar from reaching level 44. Way over what he should be for his progression in the story, but never mind that. Also got his crew skills up in the 400+ range, going towards 450. Since his crafting skill is cybertech, I can now manufacture mods for the other guys saving a lot of commendations and not to mention better equipment for the ships (grade 2, 4 and some purple stuff for beyond grade 5). Makes a few of the space missions a bit easier. Tattooine was great fun. Alderaan felt like it dragged on a bit. Ran into an area that looked harmless from the outside, but was full of level 55 wild life. Way to go... I ended up as canned cat food

Because every time someone makes a smart, well thought out, original enttertaining film, it bombs, while all the garbage sequels or dumb films packed with big stars doing what they're known for makes millions. If you're in the film business to make money, which makes more sense to make? I was about to write something slightly similar. Entertainment today seems very heavily influenced by what investors expects their target audience to be rather than something made by people with visions and ideas. The latter still exist, but seem to drown in the noise (hype) of the bulk entertainment industry, industry being a rather apt description. Individual movies mostly have all the charm of car #87523402 that just got off the assembly line. Hmm... maybe that's why my only movie purchases the last 5 years have mostly been stuff released pre-1980 (with a few rare exceptions which can be counted on one hands fingers).

Just a general curiosity topic... I'm planning on building a work station after New Year (so still 6 months off, busy saving up). Apart from being good at what I need the processing power for, I was curious if it is completely "useless" for gaming (the apps I run will happily devour each and every core/thread thrown at them). Current contenders for that build are Asus WS motherboards with intel 602 chipset and two E5 (xeaon) octacore processors. Anybody got any experience using such machines for non-work related purposes?

I used to be intimidated by Deathclaws. Then I went back to the Quarry much later, all geared up and went on a killing spree. It was good therapy. Then I got over confident and crawled up on top of some engineering machinery in the middle to properly cow the lizardly fiends into submission with my sheer alpha-maleness... and fell off the building (killed by the fall). Not any particular morale (hubris - nemesis?) but just an amusing experience none the less.

Situation is similar down under. Housing is something that divides the country into have several properties and never being able to own your own home. Here the problem (IMHO) is the urbanisation, which mean a country the size of Europe has 80% of it's population living in 5 cities or some such (not sure about the exact figures but I think people get the point). Everything else is effectively empty country. Not because the land is infertile, but because people seem to have this driving urge to congregate towards each other physically.

Let it be said up front that I hate phones passionately. Especially the mobile ones. It's some Trojan device created by the denizens of hell to make life miserable for mankind because they were stupid enough to embrace it. Apart from that, I have two very distinct attitudes. On my home phone (land line) I don't have a message bank nor Caller ID (because nobody I know has ever been given that number). Only calls are spam calls and sometimes I just hang up, sometimes I lead them on a merry chase if having had a hard day (if they can waste my time, I can waste theirs). My work phone is different and anybody with legitimate business calling me has been added with name etc. as contact. Depending on who calls, I decide whether or not getting back to them is a priority or not.

So, technically you just have to kill all witnesses and you can claim innocence as the burden of proof is on the dead guys to prove they aren't guilty of anything. As the law is, the verdict is correct. It's still a silly law. Did anything prevent him from just keeping an eye on what he considered a suspect while waiting for law enforcement to arrive? No, haven't read up on all timelines and attempts at reconstructing events. One of the two key witnesses is dead, so we'll always only get one side of the story. The rest we have to extrapolate the best our various bias's and prejudices allows.

Pretty much this. Part of the reason why doing live pranks on radio with unknown and unsuspecting victims is a new low. I guess they have to compete in cringe worthiness with the latest reality TV. I've had character dedicated to just trading on the GTN since I started playing "for real" (after the basic f2p). Buying cheap, selling with profits and now I have one of every high priced armour suit (Mira, Thana Vesh, what have you) from the cartel market and a couple of extra million credits in the bank. I wish real world stock markets were that easy

Maybe the Steam versions of these oldies differ from their original optical media versions? Wouldn't make much sense trying to tinker with hardware settings on Direct Download software.
