If going out with a bang, the last words are probably going to be "..." If having a few seconds, it's likely to be "Oh....!" If taking way too long, it's likely to be "Are we there yet? How about now?" Humorous exit: "This will work!" On a morbid, yet related note, I've told my relatives to recycle the parts that can be recycled (organ donor), burn the rest and spread the ashes on the sea. The very thought of remaining in one place for a long period of time is just abhorrent to me.

Most of the issues I've come across so far are actually listed on the known issues list. Doesn't mean I haven't come across more, but they've been either not noticeable or not "repeatable". Only exception is the hyperspace crash in Black Talon and The Foundry. I haven't tried the Quesh boss, starting out with "Grandfather" on Balmorra and then the first 3 on the Weekly list (Tattooine, Nar Shaddaa and Alderaan). What's the story with the Bormu anyway and the achievement that is even more ridiculous than the Black Sun on Coruscant (at least the latter is acknowledged as a bug)? No way is any sane person going to bother killing 500 Bormu (on a trip through the landscape, you might down 10 or so during a game). Must be some kind of insider joke. Speaking of achievements... I noticed that the Jedi Prisoner has been fixed at some point after my Powertech stopped visiting The Foundry. My sniper just got it yesterday. After two and a half attempt at starting the flashpoint. In the first attempt, our tank was stuck, because the red elevator button had gone missing, he couldn't progress with the rest of us. Had to leave. Then healer disconnected. Game over. Second attempt, tank disconnects right away. Healer gets cold feet and quits group. Other sniper and I becomes stubborn (happens to be the very same sniper that entered the first time together with me). We decided we were cursed or some such, but wouldn't just quit this time (after having waited 2 x 1.5 hours in the queue). Luckily for us, a good couple of players shows up right away* and we finish without breaking a sweat. Sniper power FTW :)' *Right away as in 15 minutes in because of the forced lockout. Once expired they were there. Lockout was in place because of the above mentioned hyperspace bug. When the game crashes, it apparently thinks you left the flashpoint voluntarily. Even starting up the game again, logging in and continuing where you were in the flashpoint.

I found ME1 to have the best combat of the 3. Less corridors, better use of terrain and more "convincing" physics in the way biotics were used. It wasn't open world, but it gave a greater sense of freedom when fighting. Probably just as well I completed it last, otherwise I would have been very disappointed with combat in ME2 (in particular) and to a lesser degree ME3. Similar feelings around DA:O and DA2 where the latter feels a lot more restrictive and "smaller" in scale.

Sorry friend Bruce, but for all the repetition of the message, from Obama "being sure" and the Israeli intelligence services claiming as "fact" it happened, hard evidence is in very short supply. Currently about as convincing a case as Saddams stock piles of WMD ready to deploy. I sat down yesterday, read a number of web site news articles (everything from bbc over al jazeera to fox news, trying not to laugh too hard at the latter) and put a critical view on the sources and question the motivation of each article. Couldn't find a single "agenda-less" claim that it happened. Entirely anecdotal, I know. Still makes me question whether or not somebody is fanning the flames for less obvious reasons.

Those clandestine agents are going to initiate 'Dragon Protocol'?

Put some steak in some marinade in a pan. Left it in the fridge overnight. Going to fry it tonight when I get home. It's going to be interesting. Not quite sure what to add to it, but I think I have a can of mushrooms and some frozen broccoli and cauliflower (and some cheesy sauce for the vegetables). I know, frozen stuff, but who cares? There's plenty of meat. Got a nice bottle of wine too.

Beat me to it... thought about the mouse experiment posted earlier in this thread. Watch this space for computer virus that forces you to do things against your will Speaking of minds, those wacky Austrians (not to be confused with Australians) are at it again. Not just masters of Quantum Communication, they are also putting a different spin on AI. Now growing brains in vats... Yeah, why don't you grow a brain you... Make them big and smart enough and stick them in a cyborg body. Humanity is sooo going to be last years model.

I visited Makeb once by accident. Didn't know touching my ships holo thingy would teleport me there. Fought and killed a number guys and critters, but felt outmatched (everybody seemed 3-4 levels higher than me, being level 46-47ish at the time). Completed a bonus mission but still has the main task ahead of me. Decided to finish the class story first before getting more side tracked by the post level 50 stuff.

They have a hospital called Fish Memorial... seriously (and this wing commemorates the unknown sardine) ? As for the guy, somebody probably said something like you need a shrink and he heard it as shrimp.

Yeah, easy for you to say with your insider knowledge!!!

Still playing SWTor when I get a few spare minutes. Usually 30-45 minutes at a time. Caved in and forked out millions of in-game credits for a big lizard mount. I'm sure my Sith Juggernaut is going to look imposing riding into battle on it. I would have preferred a War Mammoth with spiky armour and a howdah for him to sit on, but it's the next best thing I suppose. Edit: Slightly unrelated, but I checked my Origin client and noticed it was several updates behind. It also started updating a number of games, including DA2. Anybody know what the hires texture pack thing is (it was free)?

Famous last words in software development: "How hard can it be?..." Not joking (much). One of the few types of comments that makes me foam at the mouth are accusations of "lazyness". You don't get to the top of the food chain in software development by being lazy or incompetent. In my own (entirely anecdotal) experience, when a project turns to a nightmare, it's not a single individual or even a single team that go wrong, it's something much bigger involving the entire synergy of the whole team. Yeah, that was probably a bit off topic

No tips. Wishing you luck though

Pixar are fantastic at imbuing animated characters with "pesonality".

I wouldn't even know what kind of bait to use to trap a can of tuna... Civilisation FTW

Gamescom Previews
Gorth replied to C2B's topic in South Park: The Stick of Truth: General Discussion
I wonder if they have been on some kind of European tour. A number of German language previews popping up lately -
...and for those who understands German, there is a (just a little) bit of elaboration on some of the combat mechanics

Maybe the maker packed up and left eons ago, leaving the universe to its own devices?

Hmm, only books I've read, written by game developers were the Deepgate Codex trilogy (Alan Campbell, former Rockstar employee). I think I made sarcastic comments at the time about the third book, as it could only have been written by a game developer. Great intro, excellent middle part and absolutely sucky deus-ex-machine ending. I think that was even before ME3's ending First two and a half book were great though.

Congratulations Justin

Can't say I've ever heard of such a thing Have had very few technical issues (not including in-game bugs, most of which are already listed on the known issues list that google took me to once. The few I've had went away with the "repair" option (and Nar Shaddaa is a frequently visited place for most characters, both early and late in the game). Only known and frequent issue (frequent, as in always happens) is the hyperspace crash on Black Talon and what's its name either boarding party or the the one just after which crashes you to desktop. For some reason, the latter is not on the known issues list.

Bad, bad Orogun... Thread has long since exceeded traditional length. Seems like a good point for a new chapter. Next Chapter

Besides my human main guy (my Powertech/tank build), the next in line to reach level 50 is my cyborg trooper The latter (a Commando healer build) is best in a group though (and I also play solo most of the time). I noticed it in particular with the Bounty Hunting event when going solo against the henchmen. He's great at supporting and has some nice area effect weapons, but it's all things that do less damage to more targets rather than taking a single target down fast. Unfortunately, his companions aren't quite geared up yet to do enough damage, so he can just heal those and then let them do the damage. Edit: 3rd in line for reaching "end game" is probably my Chiss sniper at level 38. Edit2: Speaking of bounty hunting, got 2 kingpin contracts (plus 1 kingpin taken down and another that kicked my butt royally, taking the total to 4) and 5 henchmen contracts in my inventory. Not too shabby for a week long event I think
