You should re-do this post with a poll! I'm surprised at how many people love the cipher! I've just gotten Grieving Mother, so I'll be trying her out from today. Personally, I like rogues. Working in the sneak attacks and staying out of harm's way feels rewarding.

It seems to me that many effects don't stack. If you have an armour of might (+1 might) and a ring of might (+2 might), you only get the +2, not the total of 3. Can't speak for other effects.

My main character is a rogue and Aloth is actually very useful for casting status spells to support the rogue's sneak attack. Chill fog and slicken are great for that. In fact, the strange thing is that all the good spells are lvl 1! Lvl 2 spells are decidedly underwhelming.

No, had no problem there. Are you sure you're looking at the right door? If I recall correctly, that just opened a little secret room with some loot.

I believe you get experience for every quest that you do.

Just reporting a very minor bug: In the craft shop at the stronghold, there's a mis-labeled weapon. The picture is an estoc but the label says "fine rod"... Also, in the same shop, everything seems to be "fine" quality, but only some of the items have a blue border. Looking forward to the patch!

Good question actually. He's probably my favourite companion, but he never demands anything (unlike all those other selfish companions!!!)

But what if you backed the game and you genuinely like it? We're not all in denial. There are some small things which annoy me and I've made a few threads about them but I'm enjoying the overall experience. What annoys me is that people point out a single feature and then say that the game is terrible. OMG, wizards are weak, this game sux OMG, their are gravestones with backer names, this game sux That's just silly. What about the other thousand features?

I like the music and voices in the taverns. I don't notice the music much otherwise.

Thats what I said! (lol, apparently no one noticed when I made a topic about this) I 100% agree with you. I was really looking forward to the stronghold but it's totally immersion breaking. The psychic statue was no doubt made for the players convenience, but getting "updates" in the field makes it feel like a free-to-play iphone app. Does no one else see their character whipping out a cellphone when they get these updates?! The stronghold needs more PEOPLE. Not statues. I want a butler type dude and maybe some of the people that you rescue at various points could also go live there.

Some of the spells are a little annoying cause it's hard to judge how far away you have to be to cast them. But your tank should be keeping the monsters busy anyway. I assume you've given him a ranged weapon?

Yeah, they were making significant adjustments to the game right until the very end, so all the documentation (manual, guide, wiki) is all wrong. I hope it will all be corrected someday but I think they have bigger concerns now.

So I turned down Kolsc's offer, but then later I walked into the keep and killed everyone anyway. However, after talking with and killing Raedric, the journal didn't update. I suppose it's my fault for turning down Kolsc but SOMETHING should happen when you kill the guy. It's a lot of work for a dead end...

Speaking of this quest... I've killed Leyra and her men but I can't report to Wyla (my journal doesn't update either). Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
