  3. Speaking of this quest... I've killed Leyra and her men but I can't report to Wyla (my journal doesn't update either). Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
  4. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but Sagani seems to permanently have bonded grief. And the fox seems fine to me... I might have gotten knocked out once or twice, but all this grief seems a heavy penalty.
  5. Oh, and additionally, the lab doesn't seem to do anything... or do I have to hire an alchemist somewhere?
  6. Easy there OP! Wow, everyone gets so insulting when they find a feature they don't like! I see what you mean though. Despite having no blacksmithing ability or anything, your party can craft amazing weapons on the fly. And I wish you could re-name weapons after you modify them. That would be cool!
  7. I find vanish great for saving my rogue's ass. I mean, your rogue shouldn't be getting hit, but occasionally I make a mistake and they get engaged. Then vanish is great to get out of that situation. Backstab is certainly so-so... (since most people seem to open with a gunshot)
  8. Thought so... they feel a little strange. I can't believe people were complaining that the grave stones were immersion breaking when you have all those backer NPCs walking around;)
  9. Hmmm... I sort of agree. But only because of classes like the chanter. They have awesome spells... but the battle is often over before they finish their chants! That being said, boss fights last longer. Especially with all the pausing.
  10. So er... all the people who you can't talk to, but can look into their soul... what's the deal with them? Where they written by the backers by any chance?
  11. Hey guys! Enjoying your weekend playing PoE? I am! Awesome game so far. There's just one place that has fallen short of my expectations so far... and that's the stronghold. It's just not that fun... I'm not sure why. But I have some theories. 1) I know the psychic statue that sends you updates was probably created for the players convenience but... its terribly immersion breaking. Because it makes the stronghold feel like a cheap cellphone game. I feel like occasionally my rogue whips out her cellphone and sees "construction complete" and then makes some in-app purchases to get more buildings. 2) I would have liked some more meaningful NPCs to hang out there. Occasionally you save a shopkeeper or a chef. Those people should go hang out at the stronghold. 3) Getting attacked feels really "mini-game"-ish. Like you're suddenly teleported to a hallway, you fight and then you're teleported back. Couldn't some more have been done there? Anyone else feeling this way?

  13. I thought the addition of a cookbook was... really random. But don't be lazy. Do the conversions, make something nice and post the pic please;)
  14. Yeah, it's more about the talents you choose and your overall strategy than the classes. Heavy armour offers better protection than leather but also makes you slower (thus reducing your damage output). You have to find a balance.
  15. Yeah... the stats they recommend in character creation aren't always great.... I like your thread title though(^_^)

In very simple terms, it's like this: Might = damage (physical or magical) Dex = faster attack Con = more HP Per = more defense Int = longer abilties and bigger area of effect Res = more defense As such, for melee classes, you really have to choose between tank or DPS (damage dealer) Tank gets Per, Res and Con. DPS gets Might and Dex. Int vaguely useful for everyone (since everyone has abilities, even if they're not magical) Oh yeah, and Might, Dex, Con are used in action cut-scenes, the other three are more used in conversation (Per to notice things, Int to make intelligent remarks and resolve to bully and lie. They are not checked together)
  17. I had that one too. You can just turn off the tutorial (instead of all the sound effects)
  18. I interpret the Darcozzi Paladin as chaps who enjoy life. Thus they're always passionate and making jokes. They can be rational, but I would recommend role-playing them with a touch of joy in your heart(^___^)

  21. Some sweet custom potraits there guys! Where do you find these things? Only played two hours so far... (work and all that). Started an intelligent type scholar character but found her quite boring to roleplay (you know, it's no fun defusing tense situations with intellect when I actually want to stab people) Gonna restart tonight like with a more "blood knight" attitude character(^_^)

  23. Hello. I have a minor yet very annoying bug. When I pause (I think that's what triggers it), the sound effect seems to loop and keep playing.
