  1. I'm running it OK-ish at medium-low settings on a late 2012 Retina Macbook (2.5GHz Core i5 with Intel HD 4000 graphics 768MB). It runs fine outside of heavy combat, where lots of spell effects, etc. can turn it into a slideshow.
  2. Thanks for the confirmation. Thanks for clarifying this information. I hadn't thought about how elemental damage boosting talents would affect lash enchantments, but I would have eventually, and now I don't have to go searching for an answer.
  3. Does the additional damage from elemental lash enchantments (burning, corrode, etc.) ignore whatever DR an enemy has against elemental forms of damage? Looking at the way attack damage of this type is calculated, it appears as if elemental lash damage is simply 25% additional damage appended to the end of the damage calculation. What this means is that it doesn't matter at all what type of elemental lash damage you enchant a weapon with because they all apply a flat 25% additional damage regardless of an enemies elemental damage resistances. Is this correct or do I have this all wrong?
  4. 1.) When do the attack, recovery, and reload delays occur. I assume the sequence is attack delay attack animation recovery delay recovery animation reload delay reload animation Correct? 2.) The attack times for ranged weapons have increased since I downloaded the last revision of the spreadsheet. Is it the delay frames that are accounting for these increases? 3.) Are there an equal number of delay frames for each weapon, and, if so, how many frames of delay are there each for attack, recovery, and reload?
  5. I'm using the Mac version, so I don't know if this will be helpful to anyone using a different platform. Nevertheless, transferring all but the 5 most recent save files from the game's dedicated save folder into a separate storage folder on my desktop reversed most of the slow-down for me. Now I'm more careful about the number of saves I make, relying more on the auto and quick save slots.
  6. Realized I missed a step. I've added it below. Right-click the "Pillars of Eternity" icon in your Applications folder (or whatever folder you've placed it in), then select "Show Package Contents" from the drop-down menu. Next, open the "Contents" folder, then the "Resources" folder, then the "game" folder. Next, right-click on "PillarsOfEternity" and select "Show Package Contents". Next, open the "Contents" folder, then open the "Data" folder, then the "art" folder, then the "gui" folder, then the "portraits" folder.
  7. Normal. But now that I have my combat strategies down, have more party members, and am more familiar with the game's quirks, the challenge has dropped off considerably. It's probably tIme to bump the difficulty up to hard.
  8. This is probably going to sound more complicated than it is. 9. How do I remove items from my inventory? I can't figure it out. I need to pick up new stuff, but need to drop stuff in order to make room.
  10. Nothing. GOG doesn't work particularly well for distributing keys before the game is released. As a quirk of their system it will appear as though Mac and Linux is not supported. This is incorrect. It does support those versions of the game. It will start working once the game goes live. It's my understanding that the game is live on GOG now, but I'm still not being given the option to download a Mac version.

  12. I generated a game code for GOG, but GOG is not giving me the option for a Mac version. What am I doing wrong?
