  1. Int. of 12? Really? I'd say the wisdom is right, but I'm not sure Conan was much of an intellectual.
  2. Can you explain your statement?
  3. Everybody, let's jump in the time machine with Sand! Seriously, if all the Americans left Iraq right now, it wouldn't be Iraqis determine the fate of Iraq.
  4. Islam is the second largest religion in the world and it is currently growing faster than Christianity. I think it's more important that the US find a way to embrace Muslim culture than it is to "cast off the yoke". Islam isn't going anywhere.
  5. Yeah, but you can also go find a working NES. Also, there are usually a bunch of classic games released on the new consoles for relatively cheap. Xbox live, for example, has a ton of old school games available, and most are no more than a few bucks for the full version. I'm not trying to sound like a console fanboi, obviously the PC has more capabilities when it comes to modding and emulators, but both consoles and PC's have issues with older technology.
  6. I would go 4 levels of Rogue. That extra level is really just a waste. Pump all your points into intimidate too
  7. The PC has the same problem. Most Windows 95 games don't exactly run stellar on XP. It's the price of progress.
  8. When arguing cost, it's pretty difficult to side with the PC, but it's becoming easier with the new generation of consoles. A decent PC can still be bought for $1000 (if you build it yourself). That's been pretty much the same price for the last decade, wheras consoles have slowly climbed up in price (other than the Wii.) Also, newer consoles really require an expensive TV in order to get the full value out of it. The cost of these TV's are much higher than a great monitor, and after all is said and done, you can spend as much on a high end gaming rig as you can on a great TV and console. Of course, they both have very different uses other than gaming.
  9. Night at the Museum - Better than I expected, good kids movie. Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer - I'm not a huge comic book guy, so I wasn't all upset over the source material, but I still felt they really missed out on a chance to make a cool movie about Silver Surfer and Galactus. It was just remarkably average, but I've seen worse comic book movies. At least it was only 90 minutes, they didn't drag anything out, and that's probably why I finished it.
  10. Eh, I chose both, but I suppose I prefer my PC over the console. I love having a console and there are some great games on it, but the majority of my time is spent on the PC.
  11. Uh, it's like $7 a month for a gold account. Maybe if you can't come up with that tiny amount, you should stop playing games and go make a few dollars. Seriously, these services aren't free because companies like Blizzard and Microsoft are in business, and their whole purpose is to make money. I'm not quite sure where that qualifies as a rip-off.
  12. NWN2 load times don't have anything on the epic Witcher load times. Tolstoy wrote War and Peace during the load times of the Witcher.
  13. I'm sooooo tired of Forgotten Realms games. I think that's why I'm enjoying The Witcher so much, it's nice to have a departure from the standard D&D games.

Wow, Roenick just scored his 500th goal in the oddest way I've ever seen. It bounced of the back of the net, and Alex Auld pretty much directed it in. Heh, they can't all be pretty!
  15. If I buy COD4, it will be more for the multiplayer than anything else. Any opinions on that?
  16. The problem with your argument is that nudie cards and a few lines of dialogue from minor characters do not take away from the central vision of The Witcher. The game is very much intact.
  17. Well, both the Xbox and the 360 are fairly similiar to a PC from a development point, at least from what I've heard. That would make ports (or simultaneous development) easier than other consoles. Still, that doesn't explain why the original Halo took years, but I'm no expert
  18. The game is great. Not buying it because it lacks nudity and a few extra lines of dialogue is your loss. It really makes no difference to the overall experience.
  19. I didn't even know Atari was developing games. I thought they were strictly publishing.
  20. Superman is a racist.

Well, he's 37. I don't know how many years he has left. He still put up over 20 goals last season, so I don't know how many more years he'll play. He was serving some 4th line time earlier in the season. I'm also not sure what the Stars think they can do without him. They don't seem to have any up and coming stars. Turco is a great goalie, but that is about it for them.
  22. I love 1st-4th level play. That's when, every time you draw your weapon, there is a very real chance you will die (at least it should be). Once you get past level 10, I think you are too powerful. I would love a D&D game that made the lower levels interesting, but thankfully there are plenty of PW's that do so.

Well, Phil was a defenseman, so his achievement is still tremendous. But that shouldn't deter from the fact that Modano has accomplished something great. Modano has also never really had any superstars playing along side with him. He had Hull for a few years, but that was at the end of the Golden Brett's career. He's stuck with one franchise through thick and thin, and he still puts up solid numbers despite his age. Housley also played in a very different league, I don't see any defensemen putting up those kinds of numbers in the next ten years.
