  1. Sure, and you found that emotionally engaging - what, just because they toss a kid into the harbour ? Shame I spoke to his mom before wasting the guys that killed him though, seems I couldn't tell her he was avenged that way (though assuming it can be done) There is a bit more to it than that: So enjoy your edgy apathetic attitude that you so carefully cultivate here, but in this scenario is seems rather depressing that you missed out on a strong moment of storytelling.
  2. Whoever drew that comic has as many psychological issues as an angry feminist.
  3. Never ends well being a white knight, I guess Ok, Mr. Apathy.
  4. Let's also remember that the $4M takes a hit from Kickstarter, and then the cost of the physical goods. Physical goods are a big one, that's why most of the more recent projects are sticking to digital rewards.
  5. I just did a quest about a boy named Derrin in PoE. Wow. One of the more emotionally engaging moments I've had in a game, for sure.
  6. I haven't had any bugs and the game is just amazing. It's my new favorite world!
  7. Now I'm wondering how we got downgraded from the philosophical Lord of Flies to the girls gone wild Oby.
  8. It does play best with a controller, but other than that it is a very good game that improves greatly on DA2. It suffers from having a bit too much to do, actually. You'll burn yourself out trying to finish all the side stuff, but the main story and cast of characters are pretty entertaining. It also looked great on my PC, even better than it did on my PS4.
  9. It's difficult to get a sustained movement in Western countries over issues in places like Africa and the Middle East because of the inability to really affect what is happening. The Bring Back Our Girls movement swept the US, received a ton of attention, but after a month it was out of the media and no progress was made. That's a tough thing for anyone to swallow, so it shouldn't be surprising when the Western Media stays away from this stuff. It's a scenario of helplessness.
  10. I think it is more of the fact there isn't much to discuss on the extremist violence topic that hasn't been said. It's evil, we need it to stop, not many of us are in a position to do so. The Kansas legislation is simply more debatable, and on a national level it is something that can be changed through activism.
  11. I doubt Obsidian is a publically traded company. They are way too small.
  12. I just don't think you guys understand how proofreading really happens. What were there, 1000 of these things?
  13. I'm sure the vetting process is fairly mind numbing as well. There are a lot of those gravestones, I lost interest after a dozen.
  14. Just to show that there are some examples of accountability out there: http://news.yahoo.com/3-san-francisco-officers-face-suspensions-over-racist-161326414.html
  15. I agree with you about ignoring the crazy people that want to boycott the game and the developers.
  16. I thought this thread was a bit weird, but then I rad through a bit of the limerick thread, and realized you guys are the normal people here.
  17. The limerick wasn't their own content. It wasn't even very creative, and it literally makes zero impact on the game. These are reasons that that calls for censorship were ridiculous, but they are also reasons why being upset about the removal are ridiculous. You are pretty much sinking to the level of the people that bother you.
  18. Just want to update and say the Carey Elwes book lost me. It started out great, but got really boring when it just became page after apge of how great everyone was on the movie. It may be true, but it was tough to sustain a narrative with. Now I am reading the Scientology book "Going Clear". It is pretty good so far. Although I'm seeing a bunch of parallels to L. Ron Hubbard and the bad guy in Pillars of Eternity.
  19. I think this is the first thread I have ever seen Volourn create.
  20. Why? It's a cheap tshirt. I got my swag earlier than expected, go go Canada Post. Actually it's a pretty good shirt. The logos are screen printed, which means they should not fade or peel over time, and it is high quality ringspun cotton, which means it should stay soft much longer than most shirts you get from this type of promotion. Yes, you did just get shirt served.
  21. Started a 3rd baseman in MLB The Show '15. As if the game were not already one of the best RPG systems out there, it now comes with the ability to get gear that boosts your stats. I'm making waves in AA right now for the Mobile BayBears. What an odd team name.
  22. I am curious how much better DA:I sold over DA2, and if it was worth the more lengthy development cycle from a business perspective.
