  1. Hah, I always assume the gastrointestinal cost of those street vendors is too high, glad to hear you survived.
  2. Are you yelling at kids to get off your lawn as well?
  3. I haven't played it either because I was so turned off by the Beta. I keep telling myself "Just one more patch and then Ill play" but I know the dark truth...Ill probably never click the play button once. The PoE Beta revealed absolutely nothing about what is really great in PoE, and that is the fantastic character development and story. You have to start from the beginning to get a real feel for the epic that you are thrust into, and all the companions are just generic until you actually recruit them and travel with them a bit. The demo never appealed to me either, but it is not a real reflection on the game.
  4. That's like comparing beer to wine. They are simply different.
  5. 4 people in a basement splitting 50k over a 12 year development cycle sounds like the plot of a horror movie. Why can't Obsidian follow this business model?
  6. It might be a good idea for my next playthrough to not have everyone start off in ranged combat. Actually I could see just having two or three PC's making combat a bit more exciting, since you would really need to utilize all the skills available to get through tough fights.
  7. I've had some fun watching a Spider Queen and her brood burn in a wall of flame.
  8. No clue whatsoever. Yeah you really enjoyed it. lol. Anyway you're alone in that. Or youre simply not a fan of crawlers. Either way you're really challenged when it comes to separating the objective from subjective. Just lol Heh. MMX had a very well done combat system. But not much else. Actually it was a disaster overall. It's only worth playing for its turn based combat. Well I'm glad you enjoyed Grimrock. As I said, I did as well, it was worth my money. Not quite sure why you are comparing a crawler to PoE, but enjoy your time on these forums until you eventually wander off. 15 hours is a very good amount of hours for me on a budget title. I have more games then time.
  9. If there is any position in the world that has always been a part of the Patriarchy, it is the Bishop of Rome.
  10. Of course, they *can* do it today as well. I have four words for you Obsidrones. Legend. of. Grimrock. 1. 4 man team. In a basement. Killer content. Killer graphics. Oh yes, look at all the different shades of stone walls. I enjoyed Grimrock, but it got pretty boring about 15 hours in. Besides, it's a puzzle game, not a story RPG. I don't see how it compares to PoE. The story consists entirely of 'you've been pushed into a pit.' How original. Edit: Best thing about Grimrock is it probably got us Might & Magic Legacy.
  11. I thought this was a interesting little story: https://celebrity.yahoo.com/blogs/celeb-news/alyssa-milano-mad-heathrow-confiscated-breast-milk-184614875.html Basically Alyssa Milano, who I have been in love with since I was a young pup, had breast milk confiscated at the airport because she didn't have the baby with her. Now for those of you now in the breastfeeding know, the milk is pretty dang precious. Just imagine trying to squeeze 5 ml of liquid out of your nipples, and you'll get an idea of what goes on behind it. Super sucky to have to waste any of it. *tsk*
  12. These aren't really spoilers. They don't reveal anything about any plots.
  13. Wow, hostility and rape humor. This is a real classy crowd.
  14. Eh, they are just video games. I play them to have fun, not to generate a laundry list of complaints. I must not be a real fan.
  15. Aka Obsidrones :D Heh, we usually go by Obsidianites. But yeah, why else would we hang out on the forum if we weren't big fans of Obsidian? Some of us have been here for over a decade. There's a difference between a fan and a fanboy (drone). The latter destroys the audience criteria even though both equally love their games. But which one gets the shinier badge?
  16. It is starting to seem less like the Giants are super lucky in the even years, and more like they are super unlucky in the odd ones.
  17. Ah ok, I thought you were talking about more of a traditional threat. If you mean they bungle into messes and leave things worse than when they got there, then I'd have to agree with you.

  19. If the US can't even stick it out in Vietnam, or Iraq, I don't know why you would worry about them on a global scale.
  20. The biggest global threats are corporations. The US is too busy bickering to bother with any real conquests. I'm only worried about countries that develop a cult of personality around their leaders.
  21. Probably because this is just more of the same. It's simply expected that in this era that Muslims who hold tightly and strictly to their faith conduct themselves as did The Prophet himself. What a wonderful source of absolute garbage. Thanks for the entertainment.
  22. Charcoal or wood is great for a weekend, but on a weeknight you can't beat the ease of a good propane grill.
  23. Never prick the skin! Seriously, that's blasphemous.
  24. As a teenager and in my twenties I did a lot of backpacking along the John Muir Trail and near Yosemite, usually for a week at a time. But now I'm spoiled and want to sleep on my memory foam mattress in my RV and watch movies while camping.
  25. These are my go to veggie sausages: They have a pretty strong taste of sundried tomatoes, and they are too dry to eat all alone, but mixed in with spaghetti or another pasta they are pretty tasty.
