  1. The biggest issue in PoE1 was that it was very easy to have an uneffective low-level chanter. True, the high level abilities were great, Aefyllath Ues Mith Fyr was actually moved from 1st level to 3rd level Chant when it became apparent how OP it was. I always found a great early Chanter build to have Come, Come Soft Winds of Death, Blessed Was Wengridh, Quickest of His Tribe, At the Sight of their Comrades, their Hearts Grew Bold, Lo, Their Endless Host, the Harbingers Doom and Invocations - Thrice She Was Wrong and Thunder Rolled On Waves. Some great buffs/debuffs and some great CC - I always found the low level summons to be relatively ineffective unless you just needed bodies on the field.
  2. If we get an iron shortage section like we had in BG1 I'm blaming you
  3. Reduce...the loot...in an RPG. What is this madness.
  4. Bring back slow/fast movement toggle pls.
  5. And what to do when you don't fancy clonking someone on the head!
  6. Apologies for the coughing, I'm a bit ill! But check out travelling the world!
  7. www.twitch.tv/rpg_al3x - gonna be streaming some deliciousness on Sunday evening!
  8. Doooo eeeeet! If there's one thing I suck at it's putting builds together so please let me steal borrow your ideas!
  9. I've not had a chance to full explore yet, but as a monk main in PoE1 I'm kinda sad that we're getting per-encounter skills that are also locked behind wounds if I understand correctly? Should really be one or the other.
  10. I for one would like to see the general talents back, but you have to remember that there were more than a few that no one ever took. I think we're saying we'd like to see our favourites back like Triage/Field Medic or whatever it was called. The Slayers were cool flavour but I don't think anyone took some of the boosts to Reflex/Fortitude/Will over building their character properly. It is a bit sad to see what were general abilities locked to particular classes. But as Josh said, the beta build is not feature complete so this very well may change.
  11. Thanks for the feedback! Let's talk Levelling Up today!
  12. +1 to the racial abilities being shown!
  13. Why didn't it appear for me!? Someone with responsibility, delete this!
  14. Does what it says on the tin! How do 5 companions play? Do you still hate the Engagement mechanic? Aaaand, what is your favourite flavour of kringle?
  15. Lady Webb seemed too Deus Ex Machina/talking head for my liking, and Iovara seemed like she should've been around for much more of the game than she actually was, that she should've been following you since Cilant Lis and expanding on your journey. I really liked her, such a poor tragic character, but not enough of her by far.
  16. Aaaaaaah, it's downloading! :D I'm so excited. I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it.
  17. Did I miss this announcement or was it out of the blue!? Woohoo!
  18. Oh, we're still doing these? Right, be back in another 3 months.
  19. Why you'd use a triple crown save is beyond me, do a full RP playthrough with the choices you want to make and resolve the quests of your party as you'd want to. That way, you'll get the best possible starting point for how you want PoE2 to start
  20. As someone up above said, playing with a party of non-casters is always going to be more of a challenge. I'd say a priest was essential on PotD to buff/resist incoming stun locks. Stack the **** out of the storm skills, interdict, repulse seal and play them at their own game. Bring the (god)hammer down.
  21. Echoing again, quality over quantity. I'd prefer a much more focused and engaging experience over a massive game. Despite all it's flaws I found KOTOR 2 (once patched) and Alpha Protocol to be much more engaging and enjoyable than, say, BG2 - although, not much of a fan of BG2 for some reason.
