  1. Also, does it annoy anyone else that the combat log is just slightly taller than the wooden panel of the interface by default?
  2. Ranger is...alright now, actually. The small amount of spells it has are pretty cool and Master's Call is hilarious knocking down a line of bad guys. It's main problem, however, is the fact that the Druid is also in the game. And out of the two roughly based nature classes, you'd be insane to pick it over Druid.
  3. "Anyone in it's path" kinda gives it away!
  4. Just finished a video on ranger, they're a lot better than they were previously but they're outshone by everything else except rogue.
  5. Shadowplay runs 60-90fps for me for most of the game, drops a bit in Lhe a Rhemen. i5 4670k @ 3.4Ghz MSi z87 G43 Mother Board 8GB DDR3 Corsair RAM Nvidia GTX760 2GB
  6. Did I say anything about the quality of it? No. My issue is that you lose a massive chunk of the screen. I can understand what you mean about the window effect, but personally I don't think it fits. And the 'self-indulged & absorbed twats' is laughable considering some of the IE **** sucking that goes on here.
  7. And too far. Massive waste of 25% of the screen. As nice as it looks.
  8. To be fair, it doesn't look as bad as I expected it to. Not by a long stretch. Rostere, got a mockup with a full party and/or with spaces for absent party slots?
  9. Cheers BAdler! I remember you saying - this is likely to be the final version until the game comes out?
  10. So much this. But it is hilarious.
  11. But that initial screen grab just looks...so drab. The smooth minimalist design replaced what are essentially slabs of wood
  12. Sorry to be that guy, but this is all I'm getting from this thread.
  13. The UI looks great as it is, minimalistic with some nice subtle motifs. A blocky UI would do nothing more than pander to nostalgia.
  14. I've done a few videos on them, but for me you need the following classes: Druid (completely agree with Sensuki's remarks about them) Monk - Meat shield damage machine Chanter - I summoned a motherf*cking dragon last night. I am quite partial to the Priest's abilities, and having a Paladin on board does make everything bufftastic. To be fair to rangers, the takedown/return skill on the pet at higher levels is quite powerful, but I tried sword and boarding as discussed in the beta forums and it was a little bit pathetic.
  15. Yeah, not quite sure why I did that with the specialisation. Trying to get a decent look at at as many class based videos as I can, so I won't be building 'proper' characters if I can demonstrate a modal/cast ability over taking a passive talent.
  16. Thanks to a mod developed by Bester with the help of Sensuki, I've cobbled together a few high level class videos having a look at the higher level abilities. Apologies for sucking.
  17. Huh, never encountered it before. Seems to be something to do with either the BB Wizard or the number of party members... Will try good old fashioned murder.
  18. Bit of a bug with using this, it's a great mod but I'm adding cash to buy custom adventurers but the game won't save and freezes up when I leave the Inn or go upstairs. Tried relogging and loading the autosave, it will allow me to save in the Inn, but only before I remove the BB members from my party. Gah!
  19. Ah, apologies. My mistake! My point stands though. Edit 2: Nice updates, thanks!
  20. What choice are you talking about here? My memory is fuzzy. After you complete the Aslyum at Brynnlaw you get a choice whether to sail back to the mainland or make the journey through the Underdark. If you choose the ship you get boarded, sunk and you enter the City of Caverns. You eventually make your way to the Underdark. Or you just choose the Underdark and lose that entire area.
