Beta Release Time
2.9kb/s! Guys, let me download it first just to make sure it's okay. I wouldn't want anyone to be disappointed, so I'm willing to take that bullet for you. Edit: Spooky as hell. No sooner had I posted this, it jumps to 3mb/s!

Beta Release Time
Well, I have curry for dinner while I wait. It ain't going anywhere, as much as we're excited to play it. I've just discovered Witcher 2 is amazing when you use a controller instead of a keyboard, so gimme a shout on Steam when it's ready

Update #83: Backer Portal, Backer Beta, and Wasteland 2 Keys
Yeah, it is unfortunate, but it does make sense. Luckily, I got my Wasteland 2 beta key for backing Torment 2 on the duo T2+W2 combo to keep me busy. I've done a couple of runs through W2 already, but trying to tone it down on it now so I can just dive into it full on when it's released!

Update #83: Backer Portal, Backer Beta, and Wasteland 2 Keys
Maybe they don't want answer questions sent in support through weekend, but instead have couple days off and there also several core members of PoE's team are in Gamescom in Germany presenting game, which probably means that they don't want release beta until they are back. That is a series of very good points. *grumbles about having to play already released games this weekend* #gamerproblems

Thoughts on Gamescon Stream
I thought it was pretty dynamite. The quality of my stream wasn't great so I'll have to wait til next week to judge the finer points.

The Official Romance Thread
I'd like to see a meta-romance whereby you stumble across a Blood Ninja. He then proceeds to put on his robe and wizard hat. Hilarity ensues.
- Dragon Age: Inquisition
-
What are you playing now?
Elite: Dangerous. It's only a beta but it's addictive as hell, and the first game I've played where I would recommend a controller.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
I honestly can't see PoE selling a million, as great as I hope it will be. Isometric RPG, man. Look at the D:OS sales, 150,000 so far? Certainly nothing to be sniffed at. We're a niche that want this kind of thing. The big money RPGs are the big shiny ones like W3 and DA:I. Having said that, a month extra for DA:I for them to get it perfect sounds great and as others have already said, EA letting a game be pushed back can only be a good thing, even if it is to catch the early holiday season. We'll ignore what happened to Watch Dogs. You cheeky minxes at Bioware.

Macmillan Gaming Marathon - 24 Hour Livestream for Charity
Recommend a game, and if I've got it I'll play it! PC only, though - I don't own any consoles. Donate anything you like, obviously please don't feel pressured to donate even if you do recommend something. Needless to say, the PoE beta will be featuring at some point!

Macmillan Gaming Marathon - 24 Hour Livestream for Charity
Cheers for the advice, will send him a message. To be honest, I have no idea how successful this is going to be. My original plan was to just stay up for 24 hours straight playing games and get people to donate but there was always a hope that people would be able to join doing their own thing - I've already got a couple of friends who'll chuck in a couple of hours on L4D2 with me or stream a bit of game play themselves. I quite literally have no idea what I'm doing with this, I'm just reaching out to a couple of communities to see what happens.
