Get just enough XP to hit level 3 (3005 possible - don't disarm any traps in first dungeon or ki any mobs after it - go strait to town, rest, speak to the dead lady, do the mill quest and get the explorer to calisca's sisters house = 3005 XP). Level to 3, buy 5 level 2 hirelings. Go back through the first two areas and get the traps too for more XP.

No no, make no mistake there's no way they are better at tanking than a fighter.

Ranged rogues are very feasible. I'm just using war bows on mine for speedy hits - 18 might, 9 con, 20 dex, 18 per, 6 int, 6 res. Perception not really too important, even if I stick him on attacking a caster it doesn't interrupt much.

The level 2 knock down spell is amazing and the equivalent of greater command in DnD. Two of the level 1 buffs, bless and the damage reduction are also great. I just unlocked level 3 priest spells but havnt gotten to use them yet. However ... That wasted feat on bears endurance sucks. On my custom priest I take +5 accuracy to holy radiance, interdiction (aoe CC once per battle) then +10 weapon accuracy bonuses (I picked Wael for a rod spamming priest who can also use quarterstaffs with reach).

Learn how to use the fighter. Make a whole party of fighters. 1-2 tanks, 1-2 melee DPS, 2-4 ranged. Faceroll the game.

Ok so now my kind wayfarer paladin does: -3 damage reduction for all party members. - Huge AoE heal with flames of purity - Huge party heal when he kills a foe - +7 all defenses party buff when he kills a foe. I use a heavy hitting Arbalest on him to give him a good chance of killing stuff, and swap to sword & larder door to backup tank if anything reaches my backline. *Flames of devotion I meant.

Id prefer of you could pick a single weapon with a +10 bonus instead.

Put 5-6 athletics on all your characters, but keep it the same on all or its pointless, and enjoy not having to rest as much. I have 6 athletics and the rest in lore on 5 characters, and 6 ath, rest in mechanics on 1. With a custom party though, merchant x 5 and laborer x 1.
