Vocal modulation is at it's most interesting when it's not trying to emulate perfection. Stuff like Talk Boxes have made classic rock songs into what they are.

My favourite subversion of expectations of masculinity and the homophobia it sometimes comes with was a joke I heard Brian Posehn make in a stand-up bit. "Really, they're the weak ones? We need soft, small women with round shapes! They **** MEN!" Sounds like he's stolen Steve Hughes' bit.

GotG2 was alright. I honestly can't imagine ever rewatching it. Same goes for the first one. For whatever reason I really like the Captain America films, and Anti-Man. -
Everything about Stranger Things is magic <3 I almost don't feel worthy of such a show.

There could be some bugs or issues with a particular target build. But in the grander scheme this is factually wrong. I've been following the development of this update very closely, and it's really nothing short of amazing. If you are having issues, I'd recommend sticking things out. Maybe using an older version for the time being. Btw the newest version is 57.

A very quick plea for Obsidian (combat speed)
injurai replied to Starwars's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
I remember them talking about this change a while back, I don't really understand why they would remove this mode. It was a great layer of flexibility and each speed had it's uses and moments. -
Of course things can change... In historic move, Christopher Tolkien resigns as director of Tolkien Estate

I've never seen Labyrinth, but I love Bowie, and actually quite like Magic Dance. I'm also a big Jennifer Connelly fan, so I'm torn between risking a watch or not. -

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - 'NON-FAKE-NEWS EDITION'
injurai replied to Rosbjerg's topic in Computer and Console
That's 27 weeks or 51% of your year playing non-stop with no breaks. Which means it is economically more prudent just to shill out the $2100 USD. This is how they get you. The backlash was more than deserved. -
I doubt the Tolkien estate would ever allow for such a diverse core cast, because Tolkien's work was largely prompted to give the United Kingdom a shared folk literature. The cultures largely reflect those peoples and interpretation and influences of that indigenous folklore. Middle Earth was supposed to be very much "A long time a go, in a land not so far away." So basing it on a modern cosmopolitan western Europe sort of goes against the spirit of the books. I don't think the Tolkien estate is progressive enough to budge.

Beta announcement ?

I was thinking it would come around Christmas... man they are going to have a long beta period. -
Obsidian teasing about a new project on Twitter
injurai replied to Flouride's topic in Obsidian General
Seems that may be changing. Some of the things they talk about there would definitely fit Obsidian pretty well, some not so much. Very interesting, thanks for the find. -
I love Jun's kitchen. I honestly don't think fluent cooking is all that hard if you have the equipment and spend a bit of time picking up some methods. The most important thing is having a really sharp knife, it literally makes things trivial.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - 'NON-FAKE-NEWS EDITION'
injurai replied to Rosbjerg's topic in Computer and Console
2000 hours is 12 strait weeks (23% of the year.) It's far more if you only count waking hours ~18 hour days. Even at my most hardcore, 500 hours on a single game over the period of a year was a lot. It's not normal to expect that much of an average consumer. People are in school, have kids, or otherwise. -

Old school Battlefront/II operated on the Counter-strike model. Your unlocks are based on your performance within a match. Just like buying weapons at the start of a match and accruing money, you had to unlock the more advance kits in BF. Heroes were likewise unlocked per match based on performance. -
I agree, but I don't think you'll be incurring injuries from every fight. I forget the conditions, I think if you hit 0 endurance, and maybe certain attacks give them. So you still have the ability to "hang in there." Personally I think they are already solving the rest issues outside of the new health system, but I guess they think this new form better conveys their intentions. *shrugs*
