Nuclear energy in the UK
Energy conscious states like California, who were also hit hard by speculation in the energy market by wallstreet and Enron, are making strides to solve the problem, in a sense energy consciousness has finally started to move from idealism to practicalism, which is exactly what is needed to turn energy guzling America around.

Help a noob out
Theres a spell that grants protection from +1 weapons or less. I don't think the human bosses are immune. The undead gang is though.

Is this a waste of taxpayers time and money?
maybe they should try to work on something else instead, like why a gay rumor should be so horrible for a kid.

The Battlestar Galactica Thread
I was wondering. What does the blonde chick that all those who have been infiltrated have dialouge with signify ? Aren't the enemy robots ?

what frightens you most?
Ohh yeah and dying of some horrible disease of course, just wasting away month after month untill i'm too frail to even commit suicide, then holding on for more months while my loved ones just wish I would have peace.

Possible armageddon if deep impact not avoided
I second the notion of hurling Ben Affleck into an asteroid.

Who has been the best US president in recent years?
Reagan played neuclear brinksmanship with the fate of the world in the balance, the fact that it happened to succed has more to do with Gorbatchev than anything else, he got lucky in the order of things. On the home front his policies caused considerable suffering to the poorer sections of society, the economic recovery did come, but these things usually have a lot less to do with presidential administration than governance would like you to think. The 'Reagan recovery' and the 'Clinton boom' are just arbitrary terms for naturally occuring economic fluctuations.

Who has been the best US president in recent years?
They have elevated Reagan to mythological status for some reason that I don't fully understand, possibly it's just so long ago that they can't remember. Anyway i'm going to go with Clintion, as the lesser of several evils. FDR for best ever.

Bao Dur was kinda flat and uninteresting IMHO, horns and a droid probe didn't make up for it.

Climate change concerts 'to dwarf Live Aid'
"Btw. taks, why do you have so much against Al Gore? Do you have some grand overall knowledge of what he's doing? What is it he stands to benefit if he can convince people to help reverse climate changes? I mean he's already rich, he already got cheated of the presidency, so what is it?" He just took the 'must hate' crown from Michael Moore among everyone but democrats is all. "I do agree w/Sawyer that environment issue doesn't need to be "proved" before being acted upon - at the rate we consume things combined with population the past 100-150 years, it'd be naive to think we won't need a lot of changes sooner than we'd like to think, regardless of global warming...even if it means some eventual government "interference" and possibly some loss of what we now consider to be our inalienable rights, or whatever." Humans have too short a lifespan to act on threats that follow a geological timeline. Even 'doom in 300 years' is too long to really concern us, we would rather pretend the problem doesen't exist, and have been doing a pretty good job of it, and there is a more valid question of whether trying to solve poverty and overpopulation is not a more worthwhile use of the resources spent on cutting carbon gass emissions, especially since even under the best case scenario we are only able to postpone the problem.

"because that would be more of a shooter than a RPG which is what K1 and 2 were. " And there is a rule that prohibits RPGs from having more than simplified combat ?

Does a candidate's religion matter more than the issues?
Bush made his career on the Christian right, whom he secretly thinks are crackpots. He is a posterchild for pimping religion to get elected.

Does a candidate's religion matter more than the issues?
Noone says you have to be an actual Christian though, you can be a complete metaphysical fraud, like the current president.

Top 3 Wishlist : 1. Do away with console style targeting and attack system. I want to aim my blaster with my mouse and roll away from a grenade. 2. Environment interaction : I want to be able to jump, and not be defeated by a 10 centimetre obstacle. I want to be able to climb. 3. Space battles in the c.ockpit of the 'Ebon Hawk', not an uninteresting turret minigame.

Nuclear energy in the UK
What drawbacks exactly, it's not like we are in danger of running out of holes in the ground. Moreover the next generation fission reactors are expected to make much better use of the fissile material and might even be able to use what is discarded now as fuel,
