Bao Dur was kinda flat and uninteresting IMHO, horns and a droid probe didn't make up for it.

Climate change concerts 'to dwarf Live Aid'
"Btw. taks, why do you have so much against Al Gore? Do you have some grand overall knowledge of what he's doing? What is it he stands to benefit if he can convince people to help reverse climate changes? I mean he's already rich, he already got cheated of the presidency, so what is it?" He just took the 'must hate' crown from Michael Moore among everyone but democrats is all. "I do agree w/Sawyer that environment issue doesn't need to be "proved" before being acted upon - at the rate we consume things combined with population the past 100-150 years, it'd be naive to think we won't need a lot of changes sooner than we'd like to think, regardless of global warming...even if it means some eventual government "interference" and possibly some loss of what we now consider to be our inalienable rights, or whatever." Humans have too short a lifespan to act on threats that follow a geological timeline. Even 'doom in 300 years' is too long to really concern us, we would rather pretend the problem doesen't exist, and have been doing a pretty good job of it, and there is a more valid question of whether trying to solve poverty and overpopulation is not a more worthwhile use of the resources spent on cutting carbon gass emissions, especially since even under the best case scenario we are only able to postpone the problem.

"because that would be more of a shooter than a RPG which is what K1 and 2 were. " And there is a rule that prohibits RPGs from having more than simplified combat ?

Does a candidate's religion matter more than the issues?
Bush made his career on the Christian right, whom he secretly thinks are crackpots. He is a posterchild for pimping religion to get elected.

Does a candidate's religion matter more than the issues?
Noone says you have to be an actual Christian though, you can be a complete metaphysical fraud, like the current president.

Top 3 Wishlist : 1. Do away with console style targeting and attack system. I want to aim my blaster with my mouse and roll away from a grenade. 2. Environment interaction : I want to be able to jump, and not be defeated by a 10 centimetre obstacle. I want to be able to climb. 3. Space battles in the c.ockpit of the 'Ebon Hawk', not an uninteresting turret minigame.

Nuclear energy in the UK
What drawbacks exactly, it's not like we are in danger of running out of holes in the ground. Moreover the next generation fission reactors are expected to make much better use of the fissile material and might even be able to use what is discarded now as fuel,

Nuclear energy in the UK
Neuclear energy is 'green', provided you can dig a hole deep enough for the spent fuel rods.

Combat in KOTOR 2
There is a drop down card centered on the targeted enemy where you get your choice of attacks, ranged, mele and force powers, thats about it, other than that you have no control over the outcome. You don't aim guns or swing swords. It's a realtime with pause button deal.

Scandinavians have an exception to racism when it comes to other scandinavians, everyone knows that. Aslo, it used to be so much more fun when we had a better footie squad.

Philosophy 101
Its like asking if black is a colour, yes and no. And in the less important department, while quoting and other php features now work for me, every time I use an apostrophe firefox spawns a seach window instead

United States healthcare at its finest
The legacy of the European welfare states can be traced to the end of WW2 where people were used to an extreme level of goverment involvement, rationing, controling all elements of industry for the war effort etc. After victory the cohesive spirit remained and people started wondering if it wasen't possible to use just a fraction of the resources devoted to war to better people's lives, and even to move to an advanced level of society. Granted, it got out of hand some places with organised labour controling the economy and strangulating growth, but the mere notion that it is possible to build a better society is not a bad idea. Society should be ambitious, democratic and experimental in its organisation, just imho of course. America never suffered the extreme destruction and deathtoll of mainland Europe and anti communism meant that successive progressive movements such as 'new deal' and 'the great society' never really took hold.

We still hang onto the notion of a 'welfare state', in fact accusing the government of abandoning the ideal is one of the most powerful weapons of the opposition atm.

South Africa did the only sane thing in the situation and broke international law when it started making it's own AIDS drugs because whole generations were being lost and drug companies could only be convinced to offer a small discount that did not help make the drugs be affordable to everyone. Maybe thats what he's talking about. IF he is wondering why the same drugs cost more in the US than Canada, thats because the drug companies priced it that way, they don't spend anything greasing the politicians there so they have no leverage to sustain inflated prices.
