  1. Looks like a clip from toy soldiers. Anyway you might wan't to stack up on bubblegum anyway.
  2. "Actually, Christianity is a bridge between the older religions and their sacrificial purifications (e.g. the witchdoctor can be sacrificed
  3. Impressive CV.
  4. fascinating
  5. Thats probably because they're stupid
  6. Why do cougars attack groups of humans, are they stupid ?, I mean they are smallish cats and predators usually don't try to take on anything that can fight back, if a predator gets injured it can't hunt and will likely die. Perhaps it sensed they were weak somehow, or felt its territory threatened.
  7. "If anything, your example of a Zulu farmer from before WW2 is more misleading than helpful" The case and settlement are very recent, haven't you been paying attention ?
  8. 'Even disregarding' is a popular way to sneak an inappropriate agrument in the backdoor at reduced effectiveness, thats what you were indulging in. Taking 30 or even 50% of the settlement as payment is hardly pro bono, and thats the usual arrangement in longshot lawsuits against big business on behalf of people who can't pay. The case was in legal limbo for 6 years, and as stated the settlement came about only because it was discovered and made a cause de jour by rolling stone magazine. The stones are wealthier than most small countries, I don't think they make a particularly good example, although i'm sure there are more cases of rags to copyright infringement riches out there. The odds however, are always stacked in favor of the party with the most money to spend on lawyers.
  9. You said, 'even disregarding' now what was the reason for writing that if not to suggest that such a thing were possible. What makes a good cash cow for a lawfirm and actually getting whats rigthfully yours don't coincide that often. "The settlement came about as a result of pressure from various sectors of society, both in South Africa and overseas," family lawyer Hanro Friedrich told Business Day at the time of the settlement.
  10. I higly doubt that law firms spend much time throwing pro bono work to empoverished Finnish coders. It only took 70 years, but it looks like the heirs are finally getting something out of a lawsuit, and more importantly, the effect of public outrage. http://www.southafrica.info/ess_info/sa_gl...bube-210206.htm
  11. If you have a music copyright it doesen't matter if you stole it from someone else. If that someone doesen't have the funds to tangle with the label's legal department there ain't a thing they can do.
  12. I thought it was pretty damn good, unfortunately even the best TV series become tedious after a while. It's inescapable. Telling a story in one week increments of 40 minuites for years just lends to dramatical self destruction.
  13. Hungarian pop songs and mongol steppe warriors. It's a winner.
  14. You are mincing words, of course stunting a persons's growth with a number of different treatments is a change. just listen to yourself.
  15. So keeping the body from it's natural growth cycle is not a change ? mkay. It's the best available legal choice in a difficult situation, but the main problem here is that all this is being done for the benifit of the parents. Who is considering what kind of life being entombed in a doll's body is going to be. Is she aware enough to suffer from it. If she isen't aware at all, then really whats the point of living.
  16. I'm kinda relived that they don't let every retard out there have a gun where I live, nice piece by the way, but I would prefer something a bit more accurate and less goofy.
  17. "*Edited by Walsingham for gratuitous callousness*" She can't move, she is severely retarded and is forced to live out her life as some kind of freakish ornament on her parents bed with no real experience of what it means to be human, but human life is ' sacred', so sacred that we would rather have a lifetime of non-life or a lifetime of suffering than end it.

  19. It's so sad how so few games are made with joysticks in mind :C Nothing beats a joystick for arcade mele/ ****pit action. Also, the filter is a joke.
  20. The only skin I could stand was the hippie chick with the sunglasses. The 'mage' I forget the clan. The rest looked really awful in behind view, and the game looked best that way.
  21. "I think there would be a definite political incentive to have one, in that you could deploy soldiers without the media wetting themselves when they get hurt" They have them already, they are called special forces. The reason France was able to create and make such good use of the legion probably has to do with its legacy of multiculturalism and colonialism, but hey, PAX all the way, they wipe your record man, you can get away with anything. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Washington_(comics)
  22. Multi user dungeon, Massively multiplayer online game, Massively multiplayer role playing game. I hate it when people insist on overdoing abbreviations, it cheapens language.
  23. I am watching the French mainland empire crumble while im destroying England and Scotland.
  24. I think PST is an excellent basis for a MMOG, but I also think the whole concept of MMOGs needs to be rethinked. Less focus on virtual coin and munchkin gear, no incentive for mindless grinding and running through missions and areas. It should be about cooperative and competative gaming. Full stop.
