  1. It's a sun sign, not a swastika, the Nazis stole the design.
  2. They wrote the requirements before the invention of PCI express, so no you don't.
  3. " Well, I guess if you didn't like the first one enough to think it's worth replaying, then the updated graphics aren't going to entice you, now, are they?" I liked it quite a lot, but I played it once already. Just changing the graphics is en't getting me excited.
  4. The army is the wrong place for political conviction. Yes, the war in Iraq was illegal in the sense that it was a breach of the UN charter which the US is a signitary to, but the big boys break the UN charter all the time, nothing ever comes of it. In any case national law trumphs international law.
  5. So the same ****, only prettier. uhh, whats the big deal ?
  6. I think the word is that too long is definately no good. As for the campaign, it depends, when all your bases are belongs to us = win. There are 20 areas in the map and you have to figth your way to each enemy's stronghold and hold onto it.
  7. Is there any way to slow down the speed in the campaign mode. I always play at slow, or slower and up the difficulty level as I don't particularly consider speed of clickage to be an interesting challenge.
  8. Zerg rush
  9. Homeworld two suffers a from the supposed inovation of adaptive AI. It punishes you for playing well and rewards you for playing like ****. That would be fine if it was adjusted inbetween missions, but knowing that if you manage to kill those enemy wings fast, another two are just going to show up - it just kinda ruins the whole single player experience. Multiplayer is good though. Have you played homeworld cataclysm ?
  10. Limitless hours of Doctor Zhivago,, ugh..
  11. Ohh one thing about DOW and Dark Crusade; why is there no keymapping ? A pretty noob mistake for devs whos should know the basics.
  12. Grayside, darkside and ligthside are like confused teenagers, allways switching sides.
  13. The first game, Homeworld, did have poor selection and interface, but it was fixed to satisfaction in the sequals.
  14. It's not easy capturing a battlecruiser, but it's immensely satisfying, as is having a full compliment of heavy corvettes kill a battlecruiser with only light figther support. These are some of the same game mechanics to standard RTS, but they are immensely more satisfying. The tide of the battle can be affected by the first few waves of fighters to get to the crunch point, or motherloade of resources. I also like the fact that with a large number of players, the battle really isen't over untill your last carrier is gone. A comeback is entirely possible as the more mighty focus their attention on eachther.
  15. I much prefer recourcing, building and unit production to be easily managable, which is why I am such a fan of the homeworld series. The notion of strategic points seems a little too unrealisitc to me, and I find most of these standard RTS games where you lead your army of green selection markers to destroy the enemy's bulidings to be somewhat tedious, but the DOW series isen't bad for what it is, the best of a genre I don't really like, and I have played it online some.
  16. Alrigth, i'll stop smoking. It's not like it's that hard.
  17. 'I wonder how long we'll have to wait before we get to see actual footage of that bastard hanging." It's to be expected, and we probably would have seen a nice fat closeup, like Chauchesco, if not for the networks being a little squeamish about it.
  18. " That's the title of the thread, in case your half a brain can't follow a discussion AND remember what it's about. Discussing the involvement of the US in this case might be justified, but discussing the US and its policies in general outside of Iraq (and outside this incident) is not the scope of the thread. You want to discuss the US, it's fine. Go start a thread about it, I'll be sure to participate. But don't hijack this one." I don't appreciate having you dictate to me what is and is not in the scope of the discussion without having any notion of what I intend, lets just leave it at that. Suffice to say that aforemetioned people with brains might have a larger scope than yours.
  19. Yes it is. If you have half a brain.
  20. "Let's NOT discuss the US in this topic, because that will just make me close it." What ? Thats pretty stupid.
  21. If you believe the death penalty to be wrong you can't pick and chose, you have to apply the same standard to everyone. He might just as easily have been thrown in an oubliette in Abu Girab, the only purpose served here is a public spectacle of vengance. Not that i'm sad to see him go, he got what was comming to him, I just don't want government to be the one to deal out karma like that.
  22. I get slowdowns at odd points in the siege where the pathfinding goes awry and units try to run in two directions at once and I drop to 1 fps. The AI can only figure out how to move it's siege engines into the city to assault the keep about 1/3 of the time, and it's pretty useless against missiles if it doesen't have any itself, it will just stand there and be shot to pieces instead of either retreating or charging your position. Still you can experience some interesting battles. I have been playing this game exclusively in the 3 days since I got it. Strangely addictive for all it's faults.
  23. Gyznik adalf rohina glempgos
  24. It looks so slick that humans actually driving it would seem out of place.
  25. He was falling all over himself because he hit the bottle rather hard.
