George Lucas is no cinematic genious. On the first series he had Spielberg to help him out, whats he done since then.... Willow ? There were glimmers of something great in the prequels, but thats all it was, glimmers, attributable to the few actors that didn't suck and hardly enough for 3x3 hours of root-canal.

Really the only ones I could'nt stand losing are Adama (sr), Sharon & Helo, Six ,and yes, Baltar. The rest of the characters are a bit too one dimentional. Apollo jr. and Starbuck get a lot of screentime, but it's pretty rare that something interesting happens. Just ihmo, of course. And yes, I have managed to watch the entire 3 series in the couple of days since my last posts. Not bad. I wish I got sci-fi where i'm at.

Volume matters, you are unlikely to be completely deaf to a frequency but could well be hearing impared in that specific range. You can only tell if the volume is suitably low to reveal it.

Its funny, after I woke up after falling asleep and the page with the test was still open, I could actually hear the last tone, very faint, but definately there.

I never had that on any of my mp3 players. It's an option when I rip mp3s but I have no notion what settings are appropriate.

It should not be too difficult to create software that will not allow say, an MP3 player, to output levels that will result in damage to your ears. That could solve the problems of leves of mp3 files as well. I hate the way some of mine are just barely audible, and when the next track comes on its so loud I have to rip off my headphones.

Remember you have to turn it down so you can just barely hear the test tone first.

I went to the ear doctor today because I had a blockage in my right ear, which was taken care of in a minuite. So then he decides to give me a test to see if everything was ok, and it turns out I have moderate hearing loss. :S Not in the spectrum of speech but in the high frequencies, which is why I never noticed it.
