  1. I mean it wasn't dynamic in a good way, at least as far as I can remember. One example of that would be the health system, it's complicated for the sake of being complex and a chore to manage. As for it being sterile, I'll stand behind that statement. It may not be fair, as their plan was for it to be a low level adventure, but for me there was no dazzle and a feel of magic, or at least being powerful. The items were simple and uninteresting, the setting/world pulled towards low fantasy. All in all, as a package, it felt kind of sterile magic/fantasy wise. Compare that to Owlcat, who even in their first game (kingmaker), went all out, maybe even a little bit too much. The biggest thing for me is that they leaned in so heavily in to the spiritual successor shtick when pitching the game, so I couldn't ever look at it on its own merit, but always through the prism of the IE games. To be fair to the game, on its own it's probably not bad overall, but when you go in expecting something else it's hard not to fail. For garbage choices I still think there is something to being able to fail, it makes your success all the more rewarding. Now having said that I do not experiment that much with my builds so I haven't "failed" so far in any of the Owlcat games.
  2. Because the gameplay is sterile. There is something to a game having imperfections and being able to fail with your builds (having overpowered builds too). The gameplay doesn't need to be a Swiss watch, it needs to be fun. Also I imagine that having an already well made system in place (D&D/Pathfinder) takes a lot of the guesswork out of it. Having to make a game and invent a ruleset is not easy.
  3. But that is half of the gameplay/experience! I didn't mind the buffing that much, at least when I remember to save after I buffed.
  4. Asteroid City. Not my favorite Wes Anderson movie. While I did enjoy it I did not watch it in one sitting and overall it seemed very disjointed to me. The highlight of the movie were the characters, but the plot seems to be there just to move them along instead of telling some story. Of course the movie could just have gone over my head.
  5. I guess episode 10 is it for S1 of Unicorn Warriors: Eternal. Idk, not too sure where I land on this one. I think that a lot of it is due to my respect for Genndy Tartakovsky and that if it was someone else's name on it I would have stopped watching it after episode 1 or 2. But as I have followed through I can say that it does pick up, but there is not a lot there for adults. I don't know if I will watch s2 or if there will even be one. I will end it on this, I do not recommend it.
  6. Don't know why I said Isekai, when it isn't. Probably because most of the fantasy genre manga today is Isekai. Either way one of the weirdest manga, with weird humor, but still a serious tone. But it is good, it's just that I thought that it didn't have a big enough audience for an anime.
  7. That one got an anime? Probably the weirdest Isekai out there and it has a serious tone.
  8. There is TB and than there is Larian's TB. I don't mind TB combat, but I really dislike his approach to it.
  9. Updating the bios is simple enough, although it does pose a certain risk of bricking your laptop, so be warned. Never happened to me, but better to be aware of the risks. As for the bios itself, you can always register and try asking for someone to provide you with the unlocked version. It's a simple enough thing for people who know how to do it.
  10. You will probably need to find an unlocked bios. There are modding communities that upload bios images that have all the hidden settings unlocked.
  11. Normal, the one below core.
  12. 2/3 is to much, but the whole game could have been reduced by 1/3 to 1/4 across the board. BG was not 220 hours long...
  13. I'm not sure if you are including questlines in encounters, but I would. Than again it's a big question mark if having more time would equal more quality. I'm pretty sure that there is nothing much that could be done around the art style/environment graphics, as they probably don't have the people capable of it. I still wish they would go for true isometric like PoE. Combat encounters would become better by the simple fact that there would be less of them and thus less repetition. Not even counting the extra time for polish and new ideas. What they could change, and I think this would make a huge difference to the player experience, is make the environment more reactive to player actions and the story. A simple example is having different versions of Drezen throughout the story, or if you rebuild or destroy some location it's actually presented as such. This was a big let down in Kingmaker for me too, especially considering how building was a big part of it. Apart from the above, the dialogue could also use some work, or to be more precise, the alignment dialogues are horrific (literally in some cases).
  14. I personally liked the difficulty curve, early on every fight needed thinking and later in the game you just steamroll the trashmobs. My complaint is that the boss fights are not hard enough, or to be more precise certain boss fights along the main quest line (the optional bosses are great). I do understand why they did it, as they want people to finish the game and these type of games already have low percentage of people who do that anyways. I will not say anything bad about the mini game on the world map because for all it's faults it's still in another dimension compared to what you were forced to go through in Kingmaker... My "complaint" is that the game is too long, which is not to say that I didn't like the amount of content, but I feel like they could have improved a lot of things by spending less time on quantity and more on quality.
  15. DMC5. Trying to beat the prologue boss.
  16. It's coming out earlier than the original date. Because of Starfield.
  17. With mods. I used toybox.
  18. Yep. You will get spawning enemies, but you need to capture forts too. I just locked the crusade morale.
  19. I think they picked the wrong...excuse the pun...forum for that. I doubt anyone of that age is hanging out in forums.
