That was the same argument I made, but yeah you can imagine the arguments I had to go through.

They want to be treated and regarded equally by men (as one man regards another) in all the good ways but none of the bad.

Feminism
True equality isn't possible, be it gender or otherwise. That being said, it's a good thing to strive for it. As far as feminism is concerned, I mostly agree with Keyrock. Though even if this was the original feminist movement we were talking about, I doubt I would very much agree or support them nowadays. As far as my country is concerned I don't see any big disparity in how women and men are treated (in fact in some pretty important things they have preferential treatment), the differences that do remain are basic ones and I'm not so sure those should or can be changed. This is all, of course, prejudiced by the fact that I'm a man, but I don't think I'm wrong in this case.

Does the term "realistic" have any meaning in RPGs?
Realism doesn't matter at all... What you are talking about is challenge, but even that doesn't matter. What matters in the end is that the game is fun for you.

Graphical Fidelity
It's like asking if you like apples and oranges. Well I like them both. It's nice to have diversity. Though I'm finding most modern game give me motion sickens, until I get used to them. If I had to chose though, I think I would go for the realism, because that will eventually bring us to indistinguishably realistic graphics and that in turn will make for some cool ****.

The Matt Sheets Q(&)A thread
From all my time on these board, I got a distinct feeling that most of the key devs don't really enjoy IE (or at least not anymore).

Apologies to Obsidian
Uh, that kind of backfired, I wasn't talking about you, if we really need to get specific I was talking about PrimeJunta.. As for Grognard, I got a distinct feeling like that Josh used it as a derogatory term. As for apologizing, that was just the vibe I got from this thread (and a little ranting on my part). As for being disrespectful, I think the regulars here are pretty ok in that regards. I mean they give as much as they take, but they would much rather get their point across then sling personal insults. I think people here are confusing how new people act (on both sides) with how some familiar people on this forum are behaving. I don't even see the biggest offenders on this forum anymore. I mean what do you guys expect will happens when the game releases? No matter how the game turns out, I will bet you that things on this forum will get wild for a few months at the least.

Apologies to Obsidian
The sad thing is that people who are selling peace in this debate, are the same people who are hostile towards people like Stun and Me (people who don't agree with the changes made). A picture is being painted that we are hostile towards the people on the other side of the debate right of the bat, when we are just returning what we are given. As for offending and being abusive towards the devs, I have seen no such thing from Stun or any of the regular posters that are Grognards as Josh called them...btw where was his apology for that? I have read a few of his opinions pieces towards us and they were not at all polite or pandering. He was being honest with his opinion, why should we be anything less? You people are confusing blunt criticism for outright hostility... Either way there are people here from different cultures and not everyone has the same outlook on what is honest and what is rude. What you consider polite, I consider as pandering. If you are willing to do it, I am not. As always they can take or ignore my criticism, but in the end I have always said what I thought was good for this game and for that I am not sorry.

PAX South 2015 live thread
Ah yes, now I remember, your right it really took of when he made that statement. LoL, I really wonder if any of the devs tried to read the Romance thread or were they like, "NOPE".

Poll: Should there be a penalty for being knocked out?
I think there should be a penalty. For an example when your character gets knocked out, he should die. Now I know this is a radical idea, but I think it could work.

PAX South 2015 live thread
Ugh, as far as I know xp threads were around since the KS, I don't even remember anymore it's all a blur now. As for the Romance I don't think I even opened one, maybe when it started on Computer and Console subforum, anyways I though it was a parody thread wasn't aware that there were flamewars going on, lol.

PAX South 2015 live thread
I get what you are saying, but I don't agree on the silent treatment as far as forum discussions are concerned. Especially because key devs are having them elsewhere. But then again, this is nothing new, this topic has risen a few times since the KS and nothing has changed. It makes a world of difference when you can defend your point of view in a discussion with the guy who is supposed to take that feedback and put it in a game. If he is certain that he is right about the decision he made then it should be easy to defend that decision in a public forum. Sure there are people who only like to whine and add nothing constructive to the discussion (and I may be one of them in the eyes of the devs) but they are all to easily ignored, there are still people who put some pretty big effort in to making this game better and they should be engaged in a discussion, I am sure that nothing but positive things would result from that. Now I'm not saying that they should spend all their time here, but I'm pretty sure time could have been made since the KS for some semi-regular interactions. You +1ed Leferd. As for the word toxic, I got that from the flamewars you mentioned, those 2 are pretty interconnected. I should have quoted flamewars to avoid confusion. As for the rest, I made no comment on it because it's not true, they have time to post elsewhere. No one is asking them to spend the whole day on the forums talking to us. So did he mean the one or the other then? Make up your mind.
