Does it actually HELP in gameplay in any way? I mean other than the intelligence that she gives on how to find Thaos, which you will find out before the time comes anyway I know from reading that you encounter hints of her, as a freebooter captain, as you knock around the Deadfire in the sequel, but is there any material benefit in either game? BTW, I agree that RP story-wise setting yourself up with a dragon ally is very cool. I've been tempted. No, this is just for my RP ego.

I sided with Sefyra, having a dragon ally fits my character.

So... if I ask and convince Waidwen to help me with Eothas, and the quest is completed even though he buggedly stands there, am I free to leave him there and continue the story?

So after restoring the fragmented soul of Waidwen you get to talk to him. You may say: Plz help me with the scary dragon Plz help me with marble Eothas K thx bai After choosing 2, Eder (who was in the party atm) convinced him in helping. Quest is completed, experience is gained, Waidwen stands there doing nothing. So I click Waidwen one more time and I get to "restore" him once again, this time choosing option 1, and at the end of the conversation his soul disperses. I recon he should be gone after the talking. Savegame (3MB) is larger than the possible attachment (1 MB)...

Note that if you change the difficulty back from story mode to any other, you may get the bug where NPC's are injured.
