I completely disagree. Having the magic system designed so that there's always something to do seems like busywork. If my mage can wait for all of the enemies to be herded into a group and then kill them all with a single spell, that's way cooler than constant casting of smaller spells. Fighters do something every round. Mages don't. Partly because that sort of design would dramatically limit magical power. There aren't going to be any spells that kill everyone if the mage is expected to be casting constantly. Different strokes for different folks. If your idea of fun gameplay is to stand there doing nothing for several rounds until all conditions line up and then execute one action before standing there again doing nothing until those conditions line up again, rock on. To me, that would suck.

Whatever verbage we feel like using, a mage character should be useful every "round". Firing off a spell and then being forced to plink away with your 1D4 sling while you wait for something to recharge is the epitome of suck.

In addition to the Zoom feature built into the browser (IE anyway), there is also: Control panel--> Appearance and Personalization--> Display You should then see the options of Smaller (100%), Medium (125%) and Larger (150%).

Weapon mechanics

In case you didnt see the full statement: -
I finished the demo earlier today and its a pretty good length if you do all the side quests. Seeming to go up to and through the first main boss. Gamepley wise the main difference I saw was the ability to spend 5 stat points per level up over 4 stats. Oh yeah, found a weapon that upgraded itself after 25 kills so that was an interesting mechanic. Also there are socketable weapons and armor. It feels very familiar but I would call "much better in many ways" a stretch. I know some of you guys like being able to build a retarded mage or a weakling tank so that may have some appeal.

I think the "stay in place" button is Shift.

I d/l the demo last night and played up to the first quest turn in. Seems alright although the graphics arent my cup of tea. Didnt really notice it being any different from other games of this genre but I intend to play to the end of the demo so maybe that will change.

Those scores you see at the end of each match were simple D6 rolls. She would first roll to see who won and then craft the story around the result. Always amazed me how good her imagination is. All we did was come up with our characters concept and she ran with it from there.

Im curious about whats the issue with the above version of "boobplate". Female breasts extend out from the body (some more than others) and would require an accommodating suit of plate mail to fit properly, no? Or is the general consensus that regardless of breast size, all plate mail should be flat and just pancake the breasts?

So in your opinion, the game that explicitly states to be the spiritual successor to BG, IWD and PS:T is backed by people that have no idea what that means?

But nukes were always a weapon of last resort, you cant use them first without everyone else nuking the hell out of you. I believe it was in the US doctrine to use nukes as a last resort if / when the Soviets overran the Fulda Gap.
