  1. Congrats. A little terror is good, puts hair on your chest.
  2. Players making five trips in and out of a dungeon after clearing it to haul all of the loot out. People actually do that? Make numerous trips in and out to loot every common bauble? I usually just replace whatever was the least valuable object in my bags with whatever more valuable thing I just found. Im not 100% clear how having an inaccessible portion of your pack prevents that. So then I assume loot decays after a some time?
  3. What that means is your first 5 posts have to be approved by a moderator to ensure you are not a bot. After those five approvals you may post freely and there is no limit to the amount of daily posts.
  4. Two words: deep stash. I kid, I kid. I cant even really remember which degenerative action is being removed by the advent of the deep stash.
  5. When can we expect a video of you scratching on it?
  6. Bummer. Those things are running $60 and up on Amazon.
  7. I find that one in the upper right hand corner hard to believe. How can they sanction your account for looting a container that anyone can walk up to? As far as I remember from my playing, there isnt any in game mechanic (level requirement) that prevents a person from looting containers. Or am I missing something here?
  8. I disagree. Some mechanics feel logical and natural, for example getting better at killing things (level up) because you have experience in killing things. Other mechanics can feel shoehorned in, like you can only play a game the way someone else wants you to play it. But I digress. If kill experience was removed to keep degenerates from outleveling an area, wouldnt the same be accomplished with just scaling every encounter in the game to the current party level range? Why the need for both?
  9. I only skimmed the last 10 pages so maybe this was already addressed. Arent they already removing kill experience so people cant "degeneratively gain experience"? With that mechanic in effect the developers should know exactly what the party level will be at any given location and adjust the encounter accordingly. Now a second contived mechanic is required to ensure the first contrived mechanic is working?
  10. P:E only has ~5-6 companions total anyway right? You will either have to take most (all?) or resort to creating deaf mutes in the adventurers hall. I dont think Ive ever had a companion that annoyed me so much I kicked them from the party.
  11. Better than burning an entire semester, no? Maybe chip away at some of the easier electives? I think I would be crap at net courses too. I need to be engaged or my mind starts to wander.
  12. What about picking up some internet courses?
  13. I couldnt figure out which link I was supposed to choose either.
  14. ^Lost your appeal?
  15. Never heard that term before but it looks like a variation of the Atkins diet. Good breakfast? Steak and over easy eggs, lots of bacon, perhaps a bowl of cubed fruits on the side.
  16. So those of you disputing the accuracy because this article is from a third party are saying these statements are false?:
  17. Really sorry to hear that. Condolences.
  18. Heres where Im coming from. Presumably, if we cant miss, the mooks cant miss either. That means that 100% of the time you will be taking some damage per mook / per round. Yes? With that in mind now I look at the mechanic. Whatever the ratio, whatever the DR, whatever mitigating abilities, you WILL be taking damage to your health. There is no way other than resting to fix this so eventually, through sheer attrition, despise the players tactics, your entire party will reach a point of (even at full stamina) being low on health. Im ok with this so long as the "camping" mechanic isnt too punishing. I hadnt considered a stamina only damage ability. Interesting.
  19. I see. No doubt a good nights sleep will unmaim you, since theres no other mechanic available to do the job. Huh, I wasnt aware that resurrection had definately been removed from "normal" mode. Bummer. I didnt say anything about healing between chapters. I said that with no resurrection you will be a lonely fellow by chapter two. But I guess if nobody can die, that wont be an issue.
  20. No, havent played either. No resurrection even in normal mode? Ill bet you could you heal your party in the field though. How so? There are zero healing capabilities in the P:E universe. Well, except sleep, and you cant sleep in combat or run back to the inn.
  21. Something I haven't seen in an IE game before. Imagine having to "level up" your intelligent weapon? Could be awesome, but could become overpowered, unless they put some level cap in. But it's an excellent question, Atreides. Torchlight 2 had weapons that level up after a certain amount of kills. They werent intelligent and (afaik) could only be leveled up once, but it was cool.
  22. Agreed. Awesome. Then how come you're speculating that they're going to design something that's for all intents and purposes unplayable? Unplayable? What I described is exactly what Ironman mode will be in P:E (no resurrection). Im taking it a step further and wondering what "normal" mode will play like. We already know healing is out the window so I hope there is a way to resurrect in "normal". And I hope its cheap, cause Im pretty sure I'll lose my first NPC while performing the first quest: clearing the basement of rats.
  23. Well, you should be able to heal both imo. The stamina healing potions could be uncommon and the health potions could be very rare or something. I agree but currently thats not how the mechanics are being described. Stamina will self regenerate both inside and outside of combat but health can only be regenerated by resting. No potions, no spells, no abilities....only a good nights sleep will fix that dagger stuck in your neck. I wonder what will happen if say three NPC's die during a battle. Will all their stuff spill out onto the floor in a pile that you have to pick up and distribute amongst the remaining live members while you haul them back to town? Is no resurrection only for Ironman mode? It would have to be, right? Otherwise simple attrition will whittle your crew down to only you by the time you reach chaper two.
