  1. Wait, are Mexican's from North America too or just Central America. They were already here when we kicked them out. And by extension, what about South America?
  2. My kid just wants cash / gift cards but that isn't flying with my wife. She wants physical presents under the tree and envelopes don't count!
  3. Oh I see, were pissing over percentages. Ok, we'll use your handwavium numbers; 25% kids, 20% cray, and some undefined "large number" of disabled and controlled substances abusers. Its that mysterious last number which I refer to as being in that situation by their own design. And its totally okay with me that my ability to feel the worlds pain is lower than yours.
  4. Considering that you had already busted out the "soulless" crocodile tears before I even made that post, I'm not surprised that you don't get it. What does that even mean?
  5. Holy moly, weve gone full echo chamber. "Deserve"..."compassion"...this is just mental fapping...I never addressed that in any way. Im the one that brought up the shame of how our homeless are treated. Now we have it whittled down to the sick, lame and challenged. What about the elderly, you monsters! "Responsibility" (oh that dirty word!) does not remove sympathy.
  6. The fighter can swing their sword all day without cost. Whats up with that!
  7. Hmm, so is anybody actually responsible for any of their actions? Every problem is splained away with; cray cray, mistreated, mentally scarred, physically scarred, failure of "the system" or failure of "friends and family". Alrighty then. Just so I have a good starting reference point, can anyone provide me any example of a bad situation that is the fault of the individual?
  8. Is that true that even immigrants would be drafted?
  9. ^Yeah, we were over families house for Thanksgiving and when things were wrapping up my brother in law and his fam were excitedly getting ready to go Black Friday shopping (which starts Thursday). And I asked him "where you going?" and he rattles off three stores, then I ask "is it some deal that you can only get in-store" and he says "no its available online too". So I say "why go wrestle the crowds if you can have it delivered to your front door?"...and the answer was "we just like the shopping experience / excitement". Ug. The madhouse is exactly what I hate about Christmas shopping.
  10. Galapagos finches caught in act of becoming new species.
  11. I mean, most of them are in that situation due to substance abuse. Which is "of your own design", imo.
  12. Sadly, that situation isn't even a blip on our shame radar. I cant find solid numbers but ~700 homeless people die in the street every year. That's almost 2 per day! Yes, most of them are there by their own design, but still...
  13. And look at that deductible! Yikes.
  14. But he's leading the league in 90+ yard interception returned for touchdown, so he's got that going for him.
  15. Isnt the monthly Obamacare cost based on your income and family size? I don't know as I don't use it. EDIT: My bad, just looked it up. Costs around the same as a car payment (for an individual): How Much Does Obamacare Cost in 2017? That doesn't seem like a good deal. How is the minimum wage worker to afford that on top of everything else in life? Probably better to just eat the penalty.
  16. I wonder what happened with his Obamacare?
  17. It might even have a "two birds, one stone" effect? It would shelter our youth from the perils of gambling and would probably highly curtail companies from using microtransactions because an "A" rating is usually the kiss of death sales wise, right? There would still be games that offered microtransactions for those 1% whales that use them but the majority would go away?
  18. I still haven't figured out how the doorknob got locked...I had just used it to open the door on my way out! I must have unconsciously locked it. Or aliens?
  19. What if games with microtransactions were given an M or A rating (or whatever "adulthood" is in your country)?
  20. Coincidentally, I got locked out of my house yesterday, too! I went to check the mail, which I never do, and closing the door behind me revealed that the doorknob was somehow locked. No jacket, and wearing slippers but luckily my garage door keypad worked (usually has dead batteries). I would have been sitting on the stoop freezing for hours otherwise.
  21. Awesome! That's a program I could get behind being implemented in the US at taxpayer expense. I also like the concept of a "qualification framework". Btw, what's your EQF, if you don't mind my prying.
  22. Elaborate please.
  23. Hmm, the demographic results of a recent survey (in the US) does not support games being purchased primarily by children. Weird. Take a look at the average American gamer in new survey findings. But maybe most European players are minor children?
