  1. *Yakety Sax plays in background* 1) 100% of books don't have a prologue, ha HA! 2) And even if it does, it may not include 100% of all possible TRIGGER warnings! 3) And even if it does, 100% of people will not use the tools given to them! We have created an impenetrable Kobayashi Maru!

  3. Thats super awesome that you dont have an issue with it. But the point of my post was to explain the KP how a person would know "what kind of book he is reading".
  4. Keep trying....and Ill even give you a hint. GD is talking about books....and what do books have......? Dont click this spoiler until you have it.... And no, I didn't even make that up.
  5. Youre going to have to do some problem solving on your own to figure out my post.
  6. How? Popular as Fields of Fire and Shakespeare may be, people aren't born with a knowledge of the works before reaing them or getting spoiled. Assuming someone didn't spoil them on the plot, they would still be going in relatively blind reading it for the first time and could very well get their PTSD TRIGGERED by something they weren't expecting. I think the SJWs are stupid and there is a limit to warnings that can be communicated, but we shouldn't let a fringe group of tumblrites determine policy towards mental illness because being contrarian will TRIGGER liberal sjw betacucks. Psst, its called a prologue. Assuming they don't need help for that part too. I also just felt like typing "betacucks" because it gives me the lol's.
  7. I got one hand in my pocket, the other one clickin the sign."
  8. Shadenfreude = reveling in others misfortune? Nope, not my bag. Is there a "enfreude" that goes with "reveling in the sweet sweet irony"?
  9. And it was just used again in an attempted wicked sick burn. HeeHaw HeeHaw. I suppose its a step up from completely fabricated and misattributed conversations, so we have that going for us. And idk, Putin kind of makes me smile. Now he doesn't rule by "western" ideals but he sure can rile the hell out of the rest of the world without breaking a sweat.
  10. *groan* If I had a dime every time someone busted out the "hes trolling" shtick....Id have like half a mason jar full of dimes. I haven't attacked anyone here (or off screen) and just because some choose to apply their own interpretations, that don't make it true. But as usual, the astute wisdom of Amentep & 213374U see to the questions I'm asking. Where is the line? Why is your pain more valid than 's pain?
  11. Huh? The difference is you guys milling about nodding to each other how TRIGGERS should totally be on everything. But I do gotta give props to the moving goal posts of those who try to equate it with nutritional labels and warning signs. *nodnodnod* But I guess we cant really quantify anything. Someone is simply TRIGGERED when they tell you theyre TRIGGERED! And the world better deal with it. So where were we? Oh yeah, that Trump, what a dummi!
  12. Who are we to decide which mental trauma is worthy and which is not? Why just yesterday Harry Styles got groped just like I was groped. What if I cant go to his concerts anymore? Did you ever think of that? BTW, every time one of you turns around and uses TRIGGERED as an insult, an irony meter explodes somewhere. Probably also mentally scars someone.
  13. Wait, every single TRIGGER issue has a doctors note too? Otherwise were just pissing into the wind. Is this more up to date? Its where I store all my TRIGGERS:
  14. Hold up guys, gotta get my TRIGGER list out for the day so I can cover every possible eventuality that I, or anyone else on the planet, may or may not have issues with:
  15. Yep, absolutely. But hose "warnings" tend to be "general information about the product" that applies to 100% of users. Not some specific thing, that may or may not TRIGGER some mental trauma, that affects less than 1% of its users.
  16. How many deliveries did you do in those 5 hours? Whats your average tip per delivery?
  17. I dont even have a FB account, but if I did, it would have a picture of my dog.
  18. Can someone point out the TRIGGER warning? I'm stuck.
  19. Im trying to coin a new phrase and I want some input. Since we dont even have to have actually experienced something to then later become triggered by it, what rolls off the tongue better; TRIGGERED by proxy or TRIGGERED adjacent? @Ben No.3: Yep, imo, Ecological collapse will be mankind's final undoing. Your great-grandchildren will stave to death long before climate issues have chance to kill them.
  20. *Sigh* Youre not even trying any more.
  21. "Waa, youre a poopy head for having different opinions on matters." There, there. Back to movie ratings. Why do you suppose there are ages related to the ratings? Because we assume that as people age, they become more able to handle the slings and arrows of fictional stories or recreations. G = No cursing PG = No nudity R = No penetration Not: "Hey, someone you know got crapped on and this movie shows someone getting crapped on, so beware.
  22. Arent movie rating specifically gated by age? See, at a certain age that we are consider adults (18 in the US) and thus able to view whatever we choose.
  23. How finely granulated should this consideration be? If even one person has an issue? 5? 10? Oh boy, I see we have completely departed from grownup conversation. Maybe go take a timeout and cool off? Probably better if we just agree to disagree. And for the rest, please, for the love of your god, DO NOT go watch the Punisher trailer I posted in the other thread. Don't need people evacuating their bowels due to fictional depictions of blood, face punching, gun shooting, and knife...knifing.
  24. I cant actually parse that TN but I can tell youre upset. Let me try a different angle...everything is not one or zero. You see this image: Its a fire warning. This type of warning is good. Having to post a warning about every possible trauma, which if not posted will result in ABJECT TERROR (), is dumb. Heres a few more good ones to help out those that need it: water can drown you, fire can burn you (see above), electricity can electrocute you, falling from height can break bones, don't eat yellow snow and its dark outside when your location on Earth has rotated away from the sun. All of these examples are totes legit issues people can and do have. Ill try to think up some more when I have time.
