It happens. I solve it by typing "charedit" or similar(the console fills in on auto so you only have to type char or edit) so it takes me to the character sheet. From there its just normal. Some people say you solve it by hitting this or that key, doesnt work.

I switched from the useless OEM program to Photoshop and tried my best to get the brushes sorted out, PS is much better to work in but its complicated to get the exact brush style you want. Heres a test I did, took a break from the pad and when I came back I was much better at it(weird) As you can see, its rather blurred because I couldnt setup a good hard brush so I had to use the creamy blurry ones. Color will have to wait til I get the brush issue sorted out.

Ive never understood this thing about keeping forums "clean". If I ran a site with a forum Id just add a big "the owners of this site take no responsability in the content of the discussion forums since this is individuals.... etc." and be done with it.

mana-based and slotbased magic systems are made to accomplish once thing- limit the amount of spells a magic user can cast over a timespace. A slotbased system is always inflexible and inpractical when compared to a manabased so mana = wins. slotbased systems add complexity, yes, but in the wrong way because they add nothing to the game except the possibility to engage in powergaming-esque "strategy" to me, slotbased magic is an obsolete leftover just like those ancient RPGs that used tables for absolutely everything.

playing it before you get spoiled with K2s graphics is a good idea. and if it keeps you occupied until the first patch for K2 comes along then youve got an even better deal. thats my plan anyhow.

You forgot about the ancient mysterious race who created everything. The BW designers must all have read the same "Drama for Dummies" book when writing the plot for their games. The thing they pulled with NWN-KoTOR was dirt cheap. nevertheless I enjoyed NWN immensly and KoTOR is my favorite CRPG of all time.
